Some nice comfort food in this thread. Another one for me is fish finger sandwiches or sausage sandwiches.

Noodles. With any type of sauce, with or without meat or veg. Basically just noodles and a pair of chopsticks and I'm happy.

Hopefully with tomato ketchup on the fishfinger sandwiches and brown sauce on the sausages. Anything else would be wrong.

No, no, no! Tartare sauce on the fish finger butties.
Sausages - the kind I buy don't usually need anything extra, but some go well with my home-made sour plum sauce.

Had the classic today in Barry Island - a carton of chips (not bloody fries!) from a proper chip shop - lots of vinegar and salt👍.
Took the infant grandchildren for a splash at the sea edge.
Barry Island is a bit like Rhyl - amusement arcades, chip shops and caffs but has a very good beach and some lovely coastal walks either side of the bay which you never saw in Gavin and Stacey 😊

Cheddar cheese and onion white bread sandwich with plain crisps on top, squashed down so the crisps all break up, with a helping of real chips (not fries) with salt and vinegar on the side.
