Vintage Crimewatch UK episodes (serious thread)
I'm looking for a bunch of 1995-1999 episodes of Crimewatch UK episodes which aren't on YouTube.
TVChaosUK has banned me for no reason whatsoever. So, I'm wondering if any of you would know of where I could look for them? Please keep this threat serious - if we can - this is a genuine discussion, not one for taking the P out of. |

Theres a few on YouTube from what I recall, from reading the comments on there it would appear there is a bit of a cult following for vintage CW but god knows where you would find old episodes
![]() would love to see some eighties episodes myself! |

Crimewatch Gold. We may have stumbled on an idea for a new channel.

Isn't there some legal ramifications for showing old episodes of Crimewatch?
I know when an episode is aired it can only be on iPlayer for 24 hours and not the normal 30 days that most other programmes are (this used to be the case with Crimewatch but not sure if still applies). |

It was really odd that they did a 30 years of Crimewatxh show in 2014 and then couldn't put it on iplayer. Seemed inexplicable

Is TVChaosUK any good?

My guess is they found out someone they know was in an episode and they're out for evidence.
I want to watch the episodes I seen when I was a kid, you know the ones parents told you not to watch but you did anyway. Plus, I remember a specific one being on when I was on holiday and if I can find that then I'll know the date I was away (it's important to me). |

Why is that? What would the legal reasons be?

Also to add (and I'm not 100% sure of these facts) but if someone has been tried, convicted and released, after a certain length of time that conviction is declared as 'spent' so the individual concerned does not need to declare it on job applications etc.
If an old episode from 10 years ago is aired then that person's past criminal conviction is out there without their permission |

Average. They seem to make the rules up as they go along on there.
Ive never had a chance to see what TVChaos has so no idea what kind of stuff they had and what quantity they have as mostly if its old stuff you want to download you gotta find a youtube downloader to dl off youtube so wondered what Chaos is like as YT is the only alternative left. |

Never heard of TVChaos, but in all fairness whos going to still have hours of bloody Crimewatch foottage from the 1980s on tape anyway?
Surely it's got to still exist in the first place for it to appear on site like that, bet even the BBC haven't still got the CW 'back catalogue' either Unlikely innit? |
