Well, she isn't too bothered about seeing her other son, who was swapped at birth but she doesn't mind, so I doubt if it will bother her for more than a few episodes until she gets a new storyline like a wealthy footballer wants to arrange his glitzy wedding with the help of a back street pub wedding planner.

What are you meaning SULLA, right that the spoiler has been released or right that we were told about Kym losing her baby?

It's a shame Michelle and Leeann won't go through their pregnancies smoothly.

In the 00's there was Alison, Sarah and Maria losing their babies, which were very different stories and with a few years in between them. Then,
2010 - Becky
2011 - Leanne
2012 - Izzy, Tracy
2014 - Carla
2015 - Erica

And now, Michelle. This is clearly a trigger for Steve and Leanne's baby to hurt Michelle even more as she runs into Robert's arms. Of course, we will get the hard-hitting initial scenes, but when the story as a whole is overplayed and overused, is it worth it? There's a point where it's no longer topical and more needlessly gratuitous. This crosses the line into cheap drama.”

Excellent post, and spot on.

Gratuitous is exactly right.

I love Corrie but am sick to death of the same storylines being recycled for the same old characters.

Until the rumoured story is actually broadcast I shall reserve judgement. Nobody really knows until they see the programme whether a character is about to lose a baby or not ... it's just silly hype and speculation.

I am not a Kym Marsh fan but I think it was an incredibly brave decision to agree to do the storyline given her own experience. I thought exactly the same when Jamie Lomas did a miscarriage storyline with Warren and Maxine in Hollyoaks a few months back. It must have been so incredibly hard to not only act out, but switch off once the scenes had been shot.

BIB - Karen had a miscarriage shortly before she left in December 2004, after finding it difficult to conceive.

The only one of Steve's wives who didn't have a miscarriage with him was Vicky.

A photo has been leaked of Michelle holding her dead baby with Steve comforting her by her side, I know because I've seen that photo myself.

So unless they released that photo "for the lolz" then no it's not rumour and speculation, it really is going to happen.

Yeah I saw the photo on instagram today.

My first thought was of Maria's storyline which was then never mentioned again. I find that aspect in poor taste

Not strictly true Lillylei!!
It was ended far too quickly at the time but was referenced many times a year later during her pregnancy with Liam jr with her worrying over every scan etc!!

Very brave of Kym.

Story kicks of early Jan 2017”

It is extremely brave of Kim Marsh to do this storyline, but I personally don't think that she should have ever been asked about doing this particular one.
