How do we think this series will compare to previous January series? Will the pound star returnees have a negative/ positive effect on the ratings? This thread should hopefully answer these questions with daily overnight/official ratings...

Here's how each celeb(Jan) series has(officially)rated on channel 5

CBB9(2012)
Launch: 3.60m
Final: 3.36m
Series Average: 2.6m

CBB11(2013)
Launch: 3.83m
Final: 3.61m
Series Average: 2.81m

CBB13(2014)
Launch: 3.69m
Final: 3.71m
Series Average: 3.07m

CBB15(2015)
Launch: 3.65m
Final: 3.04m
Series Average: 3.09m

CBB17(2016)
Launch: 3.30m
Final: 3.02m
Series Average: 2.82m

Lower by a few more thousand as more people drift way from the show.

Tbf though the series Average for the Jan series has been incredibly consistent, all within a range of 2.6-2.8m except cbb13 and cbb15 which both performed very well

I love that CBB13 is the only series with a finale which improved on its launch night - what a terrific series.

It was also the first time a series had done that since 2006

I'm guessing 3.5m for the launch.

That might be a bit too optimistic, but you never know

3.4, It could possibly hit 3.5 but doubt it'll be higher than that

IMO this winter will do similar to a summer series, imo it'll just make it to 1.6m overnights, 2m officials generally.

Launch, I'd predict 2.1m incl +1. There's no hype. At all.

And fully deserved on such a great series. As Oliver said, first time that was done since BB7 in 2006.

Yep, very bad feeling about this. You're right, there's literally no hype

Only positive is that I saw loads of billboards and bus stop posters.

Yep, there's been more promotion but just not as much interest. I don't think it'll launch as low as 2.1m though, that would make it lower than last years summer launch

That might happen, if BBC 1, ITV, and C4 went off air

I gave up on that one, I liked it early on but towards the end I realised all that was left were intolerable arseholes

CBB13 was probably least asshole like in the final. Casey, Sam and Ollie were far from that, Luisa was a fantastic HM and Jim was an interesting winner.
You sure your not talking about CBB15?

So far, the ratings are zero, which is what it deserves.

Casey was nauseating, Ollie forgettable, and Jim was despicable.

Louisa was ok, but that's not enough to make up for the rest,
