So far, the ratings are zero, which is what it deserves.

Casey was nauseating, Ollie forgettable, and Jim was despicable.

Louisa was ok, but that's not enough to make up for the rest,
That he was. He was so passive aggressive to Linda Nolan and whenever she confronted him about it, he would either deny everything and make out that he was the victim or he would simply walk away. Both of these things meant that she would come across looking worse. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing and so many people fell for it. He even practically admitted that he wasn't being real afterwards when he said, "if you can fake sincerity, you've got it made".

He's right up there as one of the least deserving winners for me.

Can see this being a really poor ratings one isn't the contact up soon

Agree that the Jim Davidson one was the best one on c5 it was a dynamite cast with very little deadwood .

Luisa, dappy, Davidson, lee Ryan , Liz etc

Liz Locke telling Luisa she was feeling sucidal is one of the all time great bb moments

Emma Willis turning ashen faced when Jasmin waltz did not save Luisa , can imagine there were a few choice words being said in her earpiece

Jim Davidson winning was the only thing that spoiled it

2.32inc+1 for last nights launch, down 500k on last January's launch. It peaked at 2.55m and had a share of 11.9...

That's pretty much what I expected. I said it would rate similar to summer CBB instead of winter CBB.

We will most likely get similar ratings to either CBB16 (1.9m official) or CBB14/CBB18 (2.1m official).

I thought it would be higher because its Winter, nothing to do with the Cast.
Obv if its rubbish in time the ratings will keep dropping.
Might be similar tonight then who knows.
I see there is no twitter updates.

I don't think it's the cast. IMO it's the bad taste of CBB18. Note how a lot of the time a series starts higher depending on the quality of the series before. For example CBB18 started well after the civilian BB17 finished.

Predictions for tonight? I reckon 1.7m.

Serves them right for bunging in any old "all star" they fancied. Should have been a celebration of the big, diverse housemates we've enjoyed, not the Colleens and Austins (whoevers cheap and willing enough to fill a gap). Ratings will continue to drop like a rock. Shame.

We will see. IMO it'll be an interesting series but it depends whether the public like it. A lot of series start high and drop alarmingly (CBB8) but some actually keep a lot of the audience or even rise (CBB13 and BB17). I'd rather a consistent series instead of starting very high and dropping.

If the public like it then it will hold generally like the civilian series did in the summer. We will have to see. Too early to judge.

I'm struggling to make sense of that. Why would the summer CBB have such an effect? Especially since it didn't have very bad ratings for a summer CBB. It's average on Wikipedia is 2.1 million -- up from the year before's 1.9 and tied with the year before that's 2.1. Even the year before that (when Charlotte Crosby won), the number, 2.3, wasn't all that much higher.

I think the cast is extremely poor. But who knows? Perhaps some undeserving nightmare will become absurdly popular like Tiffany did in the previous winter CBB.

That's what I meant. CBB18 followed a more successful BB17 whereas CBB16 followed BB16. CBB16 and CBB19 had lowest ratings for launch following lowest rated series. CBB18 launch climbed to higher than previous 2 summer launches following the civilian which was also the highest in 2 years as an average.

So the poorer the series, the launch of the next series suffers. Only time this wasn't the case recently was BB15 following CBB13

The cast on paper IS poor but most people didn't know that when tuning in as not a lot read rumours. How would they know it was a poor lineup, and deciding to not tune in? We don't know whether the series will succeed until the next few ratings.

I think I'll enjoy this series more than last summer based on first impression

Again, we don't know. If it doesn't do well, they'll fill the next one up with TOWIE types, so doesn't really matter anyway.

If you look on previous threads of earlier BB's where they asked our ages you will see that the majority of viewers are not young people so I doubt this one will be any different. I don't know any young people who watch in any case apart from the few on here. In my experience they are either out enjoying themselves or at Uni studying for their degrees.

It's the civilian BB which is widely a younger audience.... and even that had Jason, the oldest ever winner win in the summer. CBB is more catered for a diverse age, so we will see.

Up on the second summer episode despite having a lower launch, I just hope it doesn't fall too much more

Nope I'm assuming because I doubt it was less than 80k on +1.

Think last years equivalent show got 2.11m inc+1, so not as much of a year on drop as launch
