SOC. Love the back to basics approach, the community feel, and allowing us to emotionally connect with the character again. EE is again a proper soap, and not a load of sensationalist storylines played out by 2D caricatures. He's doing a great job.

I voted DTC for the excitement of his era yes I know some things were over the top but it made EE unmissable live viewing.
I noticed Dom has liked a comment on Twitter saying EastEnders the grab has gone |

I'm enjoying O'Connor's vision so far and he knows what he's doing. O'Connor is doing a briliant job making us invest properly in characters and he can produce drama especially last night's episode. Some fans are impatient and want sensationalism but I like the way he is producing the show.
I'm sorry to hear O'Connor is getting a hard time in social media but I wish some fans would give him a break and he has done wonders for some of our existing characters especially Kathy, Max, Lee etc. Had DTC stayed in EastEnders, there would have been more OTT plots. O'Connor was praised for the compelling Helen/Rob domestic abuse storyline and it was a major talking point online so he can create memorable storylines. New Year's Day looks dramatic and I'm excited to find out what happens to R and R. |

DTC. He took a lot of liberties and made EastEnders into a bit of a farce but at least I could hate-watch it. SOC is boring the piss out of me. And, for all his faults, DTC had the decency not to recast Our Chelle.

DTC almost brought back a recast Michelle. I think Jenna is a strong actress who will make the role her own.
I agree Jenna will make the role her own. Since the role is Michelle Fowler in name only it won't be difficult

The Sock - he has brought back the 80's feel whilst still keeping it fresh and modern - making current EE a must see - he has stabalised a lot of the characters making them the characters we know and love whilst keeping the complexity - the storylines are more engaging (Phil's Alcoholism, Lee's Depression, Dot's Loneliness, Roxy's Spiralling Out of Control Life) - without resorting to the character destruction and sensationalism of DTC latter work.

none DTC destroyed the beale family and block story telling, as for this one he just doesn't understand the show , and recasting Michelle to put his stamp on the show is cheap how dare he, and killing roonie and roxy , the soap has never been so boring, we need balance, we don't need past characters retuning , we need new fresh faces and families , no-one cares about the fowlers anymore, the shows moved on.

Out of the 2...SOC. The community feel is nice and he has finally done something about Michelle and aded 2 "untouchables" instead if easy targets.
DTC was too far in his own *** and his treatment especially to Danielle was itgerly disgusting. Also he recasted myJohnny. |

I know the polls abit of fun but SOC has barely been in the show 5 minutes! Would be difficult to vote out of the 2, i look foward to a poll when SOC has finished his time on the show though to see the results.
He has not really done anything of note so far though, hes made the show so boring it became unwatchable for the best part of 3 months, its picked up alot though in the last week credit where its due, but i feel like most episodes are so monotonous and drab that when we do get a half decent episode everybodies crowing about how great the show is again. Last nights ep got a great reception on social media, only a week prior the vast majority on there were calling for the writers to be 'axed' as the show was so bad. DTC annoyed me on quite a few occasions, especially that phase he went through of shoe horning the Carters into everything!! However I would still say hes the better producer of the 2....so far. |

O'Connor by a million miles.
He's brought back proper EE. It feels like it did during it's prime. Gone away are nonsensical sensationalist tripe like Claudette being buried alive and Gavin throwing people off mansions. It's now smartly written, with realistic stories and dark drama. With the arrogance of Treadwell-Collins I'm not surprised he's liking tweets massaging his ego. I think his name was purposely left out of the credits on Tuesday. I don't think O'Connor is a fan... |

DTC started off superbly and probably saved the show at the time. After the Bobby reveal, he got far too carried away and undid all his original good work.
SOC had to save the show again, which he's done by making the characters relatable and giving them their real personalities back. I like the slower feel and the complete lack of spoilers. We now need a bit more oomph and some new characters. I voted SOC as he hasn't (yet ) messed up after laying some excellent groundwork.

DTC was brilliant up to and including anniversary week. After that it seemed as though he didn't actually have anything planned beyond it and the whole thing started to wane. He tried to keep it going with all the twists but it just became too much and turned the show into a jumbled mess. SOC has repaired a lot of that damage but I fear that she he continue in the manner he currently is then we will once again need a huge story akin to Lucy's death to entice viewers back.

SOC, but there isn't a lot in it as they are both poor producers. Incompetent DTC was awful for eastenders, rewriting history, the assault on the young cast, the egotistical interviews, Peggy's exit being one big circle jerk for him and his cronies. His sacking was long overdue.

But why is Michelle shown in the credits as "Michelle Fowler" when she's married to this Tim bloke?
