I've just received a text on my Motorola moto G saying "Your iTunes has been accessed on device (Iphone 5S). If this was not you click the link and follow the instructions immediately" followed by a link http://bit.do/secure1216.

I don't have Itunes on my phone. Any idea if this could be a scam? I don't like clicking links I'm not sure of.

Sounds like a scam. If Apple felt the need to tell you, they'd send you an email, and use a link to their own website and not a URL shortening service.

Do you have an iTunes account?

i think the URL should be enough for you to know it's scam. i mean, come on!
AFAIK apple haven't started using http://applesecurity2016.bulksmsportal-login.co.za/ to deal with account issues!

yeah I had one of these the other day and I reported it to the IP owner's abuse email address as a phishing scam. If it were apple it wouldn't use some random south african domain.

Get these emails all the time. Really easy to tell if they're a scam, they never say your name or any personal info. Just delete the email

Bit of a giveaway if you received a text about iTunes on an Android phone!
