I'll probably be here all night

Currently watching 'How The Universe Works' on Discovery Science..........this episode is Black Holes

But I'll mute it for a while to play some disco music .............here's one I remember from the 1970s..............

Slightly off topic but I watched a brilliant lecture by Leonard Susskind about black holes the other day, and I've watched a lot of lectures by Susskind, Feynman et al. This one's a doozy.

DS is about the only place I speak to grown-ups (although that may be a dubious description sometimes ).

I don't drink very often - I think I'm going to get through a lot of e-juice tonight (no I'm not drinking that! ).

I'm having a Boardwalk Empire binge, drinking lots of tea, and eating loads of sandwiches. Couldn't give two hoots about the new year.

I could - tonight symbolises the end of the worst year of my life, so I'm trying to keep myself cheeful whilst also feeling optimistic that next year cannot beat it.

I know. Chin up, do your best.

It's not much comfort really, but many people on here and everywhere, are fighting the good fight. And are just carrying on with everything the best they can. It's the best option.

Classic. Reminds me sitting in front of a real fire as a child, at my grandparents. Because they played it quite a lot.

I do - I'm a fairly optimistic, cheeful person - hopefully that comes across I know there are a lot of people in a lot worse situations than myself and Jr!

Can I come to the party? I'm not really one for going out drinking in crowded bars. Having a beer at home whilst on DS is much more fun.

To keep up the dear departed theme (of sorts), Prince, Tom Petty and others 'While My Guitar Gently Sleeps' - a classic song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SFNW5F8K9Y

ETA: I never knew Prince played guitar like that! Never was a fan of his to be honest, but wow!
