My main one is that Mary in Corrie gets locked up in an asylum for socially inadequate weirdos. Everyone will be a lot safer, including Dev's children and Norris. Absolutely LOATHE her with a passion.

Also, I think Peter will return - though who will play him is anyones guess - and the whole Steven-Lauren-Peter storyline will take off, as well as the Steven-Peter rivalry for Ian's affections.

Hollyoaks predictions:

Nick to get arrested for raping Ellie but after he's released he disappears and leaves as his storyline is done and nobody wants anything to do with him, Freddie will then join in with Cindy and the rest of the family as Ellie and Holly become close friends and share a kiss as Ellie is confused about herself after all of the stuff with Nick.

Grace and Kim will find Eva in about March and kill her, Kim takes the fall for the murder despite Grace finishing her off. This is because of Curtis and Kim saying that she doesn't want the last remaining part of Esther to grow up without a mum.

Maxine finds out about what happened with bald Donavon's ex and goes to the police. She ends up being drugged and slowly but surely her and Darren will get back together.

Cameron to be killed off by Peri after she admits that she knows the truth about everything he has done. This is just before he can be arrested by Ryan and he covers up so she doesn't go down for it and it gets left unsolved. Peri kills him in self-defence but (in typical Hollyoaks style) Peri thinks she'd go down for murder and Ryan makes her think that. Ryan then blackmails her to make sure Ste does lose complete access to the kids by planting drugs on him that Ryan gives her from his connections.

Simone and Louis split up (again) after the truth about him and Leela come out. Lisa ends up in hospital saving her dads life and could end up dying and this brings Simone and Louis closer again and make Nathan split from Cleo and get back with Lisa. Cleo leaves to join her sister Porsche abroad but then returns later in the year.

- Phil to encounter Lorna (played by Janet Dibley) again. He attends one of her meetings to speak about a life of alcoholism and his liver transplant etc.

- Whitney to fall for Mick again following Lee's departure.

- Jane Beale back to full health and working in the cafe and restaurant by Christmas 2017

- Donna to discover she is pregnant

- Dot and Patrick grow closer and marry for companionship

Emmerdale
- Cain and Moira get back together

- Zak and Lisa get back together

- Paddy and Chas get back together.

- Following Ashley's death Laurel will try it on with Marlon. This will be witnessed by April who tells Carly.

- Lawrence and Ronnie marry. Chrissie tries to stop the wedding.

Coronation Street
- Phelan finally gets his comeuppance

- All hell breaks loose when the truth about Leanne's baby comes out on the day of the christening

- The truth about Denises whereabouts is discovered

- Sinead and Chesney split

- Anna and Kevin marry

- Who attacked/killed Mac long running storyline

- Tegan's pill addiction revealed when she collapses whilst on duty

Mac screams a whodunnit death in Hollyoaks. It will end up being someone random too rather than the obvious James.

Sadly I think Dot will die, if not just because of June Brown dying or falling into very ill health irl.

Emmerdale - April leaves school and starts working for the police as a full time grass. She's had plenty of practice.

With Chas leaving due to Lucy Pargeter going on maternity leave someone else takes over her role in the pub - will Diane perhaps do it?

I would love to see EastEnders going from strength to stregnth once again. I think we will see some refreshing storylines. I think Denise's baby will cause tension in the square and I think she will eventually decide to keep the baby. Carmel discovers its Phil's baby and is overheard by Shirley who tells Denise that it could be his making. Peter returns from NZ and starts a relationship with Whitney. Max's self harming is discovered by Stacey who begs him to get help while Max starts seeing Denise and clicks that the baby is Phil's as Max settles with Denise Tanya returns with Cora. Tanya takes a job at The Vic to cover Linda being away while Abi and Jay get back together.

Tremendous analysis of the situation, Sorch, and well worth serious consideration. The Vicious Brat needs to learn some respect and there is no better place.

I hope Dot dies . Why ? Because I'm afraid the actress will die before the character and as a result we'll end with a few lines and a quick funeral without much of an impact .

I think Dot will die and it will be the big Christmas storyline.
