When Sean O Connor first came in i was not sure which direction he was taking the show in as he brought back the community feel back to the show. And it was all nice and friendly and i thought it would be like this all the time. But since those storylines like the Bex and Shak and the Chrismas Play have ended, it has started to become like the old Eastenders again that we loved. But still keeping the nice and friendly storylines

No, they weren't filler plots Owen, I disagree.

All the plots that have been going in the last few months have been building up to storylines.

Bex and Shakil is not filler its a serious subject in my opinion and I think there is more to come

The Bex Shakil storyline was going on for quite a long time and while i liked the storyline i just wished another good storyline was going on at the same time like the Lee trying to kill himself and Max coming back. I just felt at the that the producer cant keep doing these nice and frienfly storylines because viewers will stop watching it. So i just think that apart from the Bex and Shakil storyline, all the other storylines like the Bin collection, Kim learning to drive and the Chrismas play were just fillers so the producer could work on the major storylines this Christmas

Bins, driving lessons, house moves, the panto etc were filler in the sense that assuming SOC scrapped a lot of what DTC had pencilled in for the second half of 2016, he had to fill the space with something, along with with exits for the likes of Les and Pam but it all doubled as a means of bringing back the community feel, allowing us to reconnect with the characters and re-establishing their personalities.

I'm disappointed that the build up of what happened in New Zealand between Steven, Peter and Lauren has been left on the back-burner for so long. It must be a couple of months now.

Personally I hope he bins it because it would result in Ian hating Steven, Lauren hating Steven and Steven begging for forgiveness as McBeale smirks in the background.
