According to eastieoaks on Twitter, Esther dies in the coming weeks

It was a plot, where you only saw a gloved hand to keep you guessing who it was.

It turned out to be Lindsey Butterfield. She had an affair with her boyfriend's brother, then went onto cover up a murder with Cindy and Mercedes, before turning into a serial killer. It was revealed throughout the storyline that she had attempted to kill her younger sister (Kath) when they were kids.

She attempted to kill 12 people, but 'only' succeeded in killing seven of them, one of the survivors was her other sister - Kim - before being murdered herself by a previous serial killer who returned to the show (Silas).

What a shame. I;ve liked Esther since the storyline where she was being bullied.

Ah no i like esster. In saying that i'm not surprised at this news, they have tried to kill her off a few times all ready and she has been in the show a long time and isn't a kirkwood creation.

If true that would leave Kim at a loose end again with no ties to anyone, unless of course they got her back with Grace (shared grief and all). Actually Grace and Kim, or Grim, would make excellent avenging angels on Eva's case.

Has this been confirmed or is it just speculation? I've only seen spoilers saying the Osbourne's have to decide whether to switch Esther's life support machine off.
