Just watching him on BBC1 and he is complaining that he's not allowed to swear and slagging off the BBC. Why agree to do it then? He really is oozing with self importance. Yes, he can sing well, but I never realised how much he thought of himself before. His ego is quite large.

Perhaps. But perhaps not. Why does he need to swear anyway? Why do you need to use "FFS"as if you have some moral high ground?

Happy New Year.

Isn't Central Hall owned, used by Methodist Church?
Surprised they let him play, unless they asked BBC to have him tone down?

You're wrong, in that he can't sing either.

The BBC asked him to sing, his songs contain swear words which they would have known. I think his 1 minute moan is allowed... Geez

You don't think that the BBC recognize that on New Years' Eve there will be lots of children staying up especially to watch the fireworks? Doesn't seem unreasonable that they ask him not to swear? Why would he need to moan about it, he didn't have to take the gig?

Bryan Adams didn't see the need to swear last year, comes across as a bit of a desperate attempt to cause some controversy and get some additional publicity....

I didn't see it, but I guess as another poster said, a lot of kids would have been watching as its NYE - plus also its a very good gig to get considering the many millions watching, so Williams should have been thankful to have been asked!

Agreed. The swearing was totally unnecessary particularly as a lot of kids would have been up to see in 2017.

The show was disappointing as his voice seems to have gone. Glad he is in a happy place with his wife but too much saccharine stuff to her in the crowd.

This is a strange story, him using a hand sanitizer supposedly, after touching fans hands.

I know we lost some great talented singers in 2016 but it's not as bad as all that that they needed to subject us to that egotistical prat on NYE surley?
