The link doesn't work?

Was it a story with a generally negative spin on the new idents?

Either way, its also the case the majority simply don't like change. There was a thread almost identical to this one four years ago complaining about not liking the, then new, idents. And now here were are again, with people complaining about them now being replaced.

Obviously its subjective, but its also true that there are some people who just don't like change, and also some people who just like to complain.
I commented above that I found the page and (at that time) 400 people had taken part in the survey in a local newspaper. People reading the story would be heavily skewed to those wanting a good moan about the idents, BBC or just a general good moan.

Nothing would have given me greater pleasure than to say, 'They're good', but they are not.

Now, I don't care about Dr Who, but many do. Therefore if Dr Who fans don't like the latest doctor, or his new assistant, then whilst I personally couldn't care less, it means You've upset the loyal audience you wanted to impress.

I do understand many people will say 'They're only idents' but, as with programmes, there are good idents, and bad idents.

The Beeb used to take a pride in doing things right. Everyone who does care about presentation is in complete agreement these idents are crap.

what a difference - last night at 10pm they shows an ident on ITV of a man putting logs onto an open fire - contrast hat with the BBC one Swimming one and which is more welcoming on a cold frosty January night
The ITV ident will also have included the big 'colour picking' logo and a recognisable bit of music that links all the idents together. Meanwhile the BBC One one didn't.
Indeed, the ITV one will give a proper identity for the channel. As for the BBC One(ness) effort...

Hate it, particularly the keep fit one.
It's really noisy as well, which doesn't work very well as an ident.

Fair enough, that's your subjective opinion.

No - presenting your subjective opinion as some sort of objective fact is all kinds of wrong.

You can't believe that anyone would have a different opinion to you?

Just wow.
Rubbish

Yes - all opinions ARE subjective. I'm not presenting them as facts - it is & will only be MY opinion. I'm sure there are people who love the new idents, just as much as those who hate them.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect that! What is the point of having forums if we cannot express and discuss them? You seem to be upset because I'm not agreeing with your opinion

Are people still complaining about the idents on twitter and such like? I do think that once the initial objections have been raised and new idents are added to the set, people will just move on and not take much notice. The "wheelchair Rugby" ident is meant to be added to the mix this month isn't it?

When you actually stop and think, the idents are not too bad. It's the lack of variety and the poor choice for a News ident that gives the impression that they are. I am now at the point where I'm not bothered about them anymore.
