Samuel Eto'o to Hull ? Haha !
That one's ridiculous, he can do so much better than Hull.

My biggest worry as a Southampton fan is the potential loss of Virgil van Dyke and Jose Font this transfer window.

Every year we lose big players but have done well replacing them, however if we lose both of these fellas I think that's our season stuffed as they are rocks in our defence (well, until the xmas games started they were anyway!)

Another deal that looks close to completion is Rudy Gestede to complete his £6million move from Aston Villa to Middlesborough on Wednesday.

I can't get excited about the January window any more, especially since Sky and the BBC started treating it like a major event. It's basically just a month of baseless rumours and panic buying. My plan is to avoid the rumour sites and check up on who moved where on Feb 1. Don't know how long I'll stick to that though....

Usually...though this one could be different, I think a few clubs really need to buy, in particular Man City of the big clubs, Arsenal as well...though I wouldn't expect Wenger to buy even though he needs too.

Don't expect much to happen with Liverpool & Spurs.

Boro should of gone for a proven striker over Gestede, especially when Adebayor is available.

Adebayor is good, but only when Adebayor can be bothered which is less frequent. He was a fart in a lift for Palace.

It always reaches it's absurd climax on the deadline when Sky have full wrap-around breaking news banners and presenters bellowing dramatically because Kevin Doyle has gone to Preston on loan.

Waste of money in my opinion. He may be decent at Championship level but he didn't cut it in the PL with Villa and with Negredo up front already I think Middlesbrough needed someone better to compete with him.

Am gutted that Jose Fonte has handed in a transfer request to Southampton

Have nothing but admiration for the bloke though as he's been with us since the dark days of division 1 so deserves a chance at a bigger club as he has been very loyal these past few years

In fairness, the players around him didn't provide him with enough balls to his head. I think Rudy will do alright for Boro.
