Tempus fugit.

I truly would give anything at all to be back in 1982 or 2014 - both are equally significant.

But the Omniverse moves on - there is no mercy.

Life over the last 4 billion years is a mere meat by-product of heat.

Happy 2017.

And what a magnificent exit it was, fitting for the character.

It was a disgrace then and still a disgrace now

I disagree, the character was becoming a mere pastiche it was her time

I agree with Aaron it was a fitting end (although I don't agree she was a pastiche). Much rather an exit like that than a black cab never to be seen again

A black cab would have been since she would have returned

I also agree.

I've always said that I could never have believed that Pat would volantarily leave Bianca and the kids so thete was no exit appropriate other than death.

The allegations that St Clement onky wanted a break cloud the issue, but if they thought it was to be permanent, death was yhe right call imo.

Same with Pauline as sgre would never have moved away from te home she'd lived in her entire life.

Agreed. Killing her off was bad enough, but they had the shame to kill her off in a rush. She collapsed, went to hospital and got diagnosed in one episode, then had her deathbed episode the next. Two episodes of build up. Disgraceful.

We don't know that, how many other characters have left in a car and never been seen again (and I'm not talking about Paul Trueman)

To be fair her exit episode was brilliant, it's just the fact they killed her off in the first place that's a disgrace. Biro wood should be banned from production.

Killing off Pat really damaged the show. There was only very few characters who made EastEnders what it was, and she was arguably one of the biggest.
