Drat. I wanted them to be discovered in this episode. The best part of any character's death is the discovery and shock of the other characters.

Christmas has been fantastic.

SOC has really brought the show back to it's roots.

Wonderful stuff.

Poor Max - now he'll never get to smash Roxy's back doors in

I really thought we would see Roxy alive at the end.

What happened with Ronnie, is she dead too?

Danielle should have appeared as a vision in the water to walk them into the light.

Just fantastically eerie and brilliant, and actually really boundary-pushing for EE. Loved it.

Amazing, harrowing exit but it was absolutely criminal to kill off Ronnie and Roxy and I really do think it's a decision that will be MAJORLY regretted in the future. An absolute disgrace. That ending was so sad and creepy

Wow. Turned over at the last minute and I'm shocked. They killed them both off?!

Even more shocking because of the kids involved who have just lost their mothers. Are they just going to forget about them and hope no one notices?

Next episode. Ronnie and Roxy managed to get out of the pool. But try to talk to Jack and then realising he cant see them

I am sorry but killing them wasn't worth it, the best bit of the episode was the Mick and Lee stuff.

What a great ending, so much better than the Xmas Day episode.

That was grim but very well done.

Is this the first time we've had completely silent credits?

Didn't feel like Eastenders at all to be honest.

I've only just started reading the soaps forum, I didn't know until reading some of the EE threads that Ronnie and Roxy were being killed off.

Did Rita Simons and Samantha Janus leave of their own accord, or were they axed?

Ronnie and Roxy weren't iconic

Are they both dead or just Roxy?

I'm gutted the Mitchell sisters have gone.

Did Roxy die because she had taken something or because she hit her head?

I can't accept that they both managed to die by drowning in a very shallow pool. It would have been better if they'd fell off the roof.
