I am not sure, but I think she might of taken some, because when Max found the drugs it looked like some of it had gone.

One thing I'd have changed is that I'd have let Ronnie know that she was responsible for Fatboy's death.

I agree with Sorcha lovely episode.

I liked Ronnie, disliked Roxy but let's get something clear they were not iconic. Den and Angie were iconic and they suffered their fate (In Dens case twice), why should they not be killed off? If Den and Angie can suffer that fate then anybody in the cast can.

I am slowly coming round to SOC as EP but I still think axing Lee, Les and Pam was a mistake they had true milage in them as they had only been on the show for a relatively short period of time.

Danny-Boy Hatchard hit it out of the park again tonight, he has shown the anguish of depression and the results of his idiotic decisions so well. Top notch stuff.

Thanks 9.5/10 for me.

Just seen it and I am a bit speechless. What a great ending for the Mitchell sisters. Rita and Samantha have been brilliant tonight and I have been impressed by their performances. The final scene was haunting and brilliantly directed. I'll post my review tomorrow.

This.

Plus many many pools (clearly even this one) have DEEP ends. Like 3/4x the average height deep. Was actually pretty realistic done - which I'm glad of.

And for everyone saying who'd go swimming drunk. Erm. Loads of people. A few people have died over my lifetime whilst swimming drunk sadly

And now his fingerprints are on the packet the drugs were in, he might be about to find himself in deep trouble (again). Her belongings will be searched no doubt...

That's just it though - if Ronnie had assumed it was deep, dived in and it was in fact shallow, she would have either knocked herself out, or broken her neck and not been able to move

Last year Mick and Dean went to the bottom of a lake and still came up. No way would Ronnie have become entangled in her veil in a pool with shallow water just steps away.

Having said that I really enjoyed it and found the way they filmed the reflections in the pool to be eerie and quite powerful.”

Roxy wasn't ill - she most likely drowned due to being intoxicated rater than fainting - Ronnie had a heavy wedding dress on not a light suit she was in the middle of the pool away from the steps and depth of water would not make it less/more likely for her to get entangled in veil so long as her head and veil were fully submerged.

Excellent episode . Apart from Mick bringing Lee back to the Vic for their chat . A busy pub on New Years day (even in the living quarters) with Shirl Sylvie and nosy babe hovering is scarcely less calm or private than a posh hotel with all sorts of nooks and crannies and private places to chat .

The girls drowning was really well done .I'm glad to see the back of them because their constant falling out and making up was really annoyingly repetitive . At least Roxy knew how to look happy (usually when high or drunk) , but Sam Womack is a one trick pony with one vacant expression and far too much hair swishing in her limited acting repertoire .
Very eerie ending to a terrific episode .

May have been good apart from the deaths but a big mistake by the EP just to stamp his mark and get rid of characters he didn't like .

I keep thinking about that final shot of them dead in the water. Absolutely haunting.

Why did Ronnie & Jack both visit James' grave the day after the anniversary of his death?

I can't believe they've gone, first Peggy now R&R. There's gonna be no Mitchell's left

That was traumatising, but at the same time quite ... poetic. I loved the dancing scenes, especially with the sisters.

I've swum drunk in my younger days, and nearly drowned, so find it totally believable.

Who says he didn't like Ronnie and Roxy? If that was the case, he'd have just sent them off in a black cab rather than the huge production in this episode. The EP has to be unbiased and subjective to recognise what's best for the characters in the show. They have to be able to act when a character has run their course and not let person feelings cloud their judgement.

TBH I am glad it is over. The R & R exit has been spoiled for months so I am glad now it is done. I am also glad Lee confessed to Mick, & I hope his sl will also be over soon. It has been dragging on too long.

Well if he liked them then he would have rested them and could still have had a huge exit , he has done what many EP's do and that is show who is boss by wielding the axe and they usually do that on characters they are not fond of themselves. And as is known both actresses thought the door would be open to return when first told of their departure as neither wanted to go.

Seemed like a Patsy & Edwina ending.

I really need to watch the entire episode tomorrow to form any opinions.

Great episode.

Legendary ending. Great cinematography.

Feel so sorry for little Amy losing her Mom. Wonder if Jack will leave now?

They've both been rested many times over the years and they come back with the same old stuff. Roxy is a mess, falls for the wrong blokes and Ronnie has to save her. Ronnie is also controlling and overprotective and she needed to be punished for being responsible for other characters' deaths. If the door was left open for them, it would just be rinse and repeat all over again once they eventually return. It's better for them to go out with a bang together now then fizzle out over the years.

Ronnie looked so beautiful in her wedding dress, and Roxy too...

Aunt Sal remarks about Glenda And her and Dot's conversation at the wedding.

Aww, nice of them to see Phil one last time. That fatal selfie...

Damn. Mick and Lee's meltdown. Poor boy... It was unforgivable, though.

Love how they used the music they used to introduce the Mitchell sisters advert wise in that great and fun wedding party montage.

And Roxy did mess it up, ultimately. ****...

A really wonderfully shot episode.

Goodbye Ronnie and Roxy...
