I saw this video - it's quite an old one but I thought it might interest you:

What would you say if you could talk to yourself at 12? I'd definitely say try and be more confident and not care what others think.

Put yourself out of misery now, it doesn't get any better.

Grow up, stop living in a dream world and stop acting like a prat at school.

Don't make shitty, mocking remarks with the other lads about poor old Mr. Henson - he really was in terrible pain, and he showed a lot of courage to carry on.

Above all, don't flick any more rubber bands at the back of the neck of the girl in front of you, then pretending it had nothing to do with you. It's not big and it's not clever. In fact in made you look like a total d***head. It really served you right when she accidentally on purpose spilled her drink all over you that time.

But well done for sticking up for your friend when he was being bullied. Yes it would have been easier to walk away and abandon him. But you went through a pain barrier to help him, and you should never regret that.

Also well done for taking home that dog you found, who was hurt, when those other lads just walked on uninterested.

People who say (or shout) 'theres nothing wrong with me' always have something wrong with them.

Theres nothing wrong with doing something (such as obsessively watch the little mermaid.) Because your 'open minded', is ok. As long as thats the honest reason for doing it.

Read more books. Not comics. Listen to more music...... And watch sixteen candles and the blue lagoon, youll love them...

In the next few years something really awful is going to happen, it will test everything about you and will be the hardest, darkest and most confusing time in your life but you will get through it, it will get better but most importantly it's not your fault. Your strength (that you didn't even know you had) will keep you going and you will make sure that you are a survivor of this, not a statistic.

Don't drink or smoke - though I'd probably ignore myself.

I'd say dont worry about those school kids A B C and D you won't be seeing them again !

Also not to drink anything but beer until you're past 20. Not that I'll listen.

The main one would be

F**k what anyone else thinks. You are not here to win approval from people who'se approval may not be worth canvassing.

Don't give up sport in favour of obsessing about boys and make-up.

Read more books (of the proper kind, not just Goosebumps and Sweet Valley High series), there won't be nearly as much time to do so once you start working.

Be more confident and speak to more people outside of your friendship group.

You look fine. You'll grow into your nose and ears. You'll always be lanky but on the plus side, you'll never need to diet.

Don't smoke.

Drinking until you puke isn't big or clever.

It would be pointless saying anything, as nobody takes advice. Everyone has to learn through making their own mistakes.

I dont know what i could tell myself at twelve, my denial was so deep.

All i could do is sow the seeds, and open my own mind just a crack....

Hopefully, she'll look like a million dollars. And she tell me that all the waiting, and wishing, and misery has be worth it.

Enjoy the next few years at school because after that, the next 30+ years of your life is going to be full of miseryness and an utter waste of time.

"Please, please do not start self-harming. It will destroy your life. You're 12-years-old. You're just a child. You don't deserve to do that to yourself, you don't have to punish yourself. You're not a bad person. You're not worthless. Don't keep everything to yourself. You don't have to protect everyone. Ask for help. Talk to people.

And remember that you can achieve things. You will find a sport that makes you happier than anything in the world, something you would never have thought you'd do. You will find what you want to do as a career. And even if your health makes things harder and takes longer to get there, you can do it. You can achieve so much more than you think."

/Deep ramble much.

I would tell myself to tell my parents to buy stock in Apple, and when it starts Google.

Plus at the start if 2015 put a £10,000 bet on a three rider if Leicester City to win the Premier League, Donald Trump to become President, and for us to vote leave in the referendum.

Then await pure happiness!

You're not going to have real friends for many years to come, but don't worry- you'll get there eventually. Some day you'll be in a real school, with plenty of friends and a good education. I know you don't understand why you can't leave the house much, or why it's so hard to convince your parents to let you go out and make friends, but you will understand when you're older. Just learn to appreciate the things they already do for you- you're going to get more freedom one day, at a time when you'll be able to cope with it.

And look out for a show called Glee, it's important.
