What's your view on the acting, Jason?

For me, it is Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton who steal the show. And both have been picked up various award nominations and both are contenders to win golden globes soon.
I have to agree. I can't separate the two really. Both absolutely deserve awards recognition, as does Jeffery Wright as Bernard. He's been fantastic as well.

I also think James Marsden has been excellent as well in what is arguably the role of his career so far.

Well I watched the finale. Turned in to a battle of wills to an extent - kept falling asleep and kept having to rewind it to watch what i'd missed so maybe that didn't help, but I know i eventually did watch all of it.

I won't be coming back for Season 2. The finale left me so confused I had to read the synposis for it on wikipedia as it was going on just so i could keep up !

(I fall asleep for most things, so it's not really an indicator of quality or anything )

There just wasn't anything there that intruiged me enough to want to come back to see what happens, so I'll leave it at one and done.

Anyone tuning in expecting an action/adventure type story was going to be disappointed. The first couple of episodes were slow as they (mainly) explored the "wild west" setting of the theme park. But they also began introducing us to and exploring the hosts perception of the world, especially the (apparently) naive Dolores. The humans were portrayed less sympathetically than the hosts.

For me, I got a tingle with the (subtle) cameo of the gunslinger seen in the 1973 original movie. A nice touch, I thought.

From the beginning it was obvious that this was going to be an exploration of consciousness and what it means to be sentient, rather than pure action adventure. So it had me at episode one.

That's a shame Jason. Oh well. Each to their own.

What are you planning on watching next?

Probably nothing in the short term, as i've got a few of my regular shows to catch up on but I've got my eye on Legion and Iron Fist as two definite watches. Over and above that, i'll see what floats my boat

It was boring. I won't be watching a second season.
