While I'm at it - "Actually it was exactly 1,269,501 majority" it is highly unlikely that the vote counting process was absolutely free from error, but, given the closeness of the 'for' and 'against' votes numbers it is highly likely that the errors in the count were, to the first order, of little statistical relevance. The 600k figure comes from the result that would have been the case if half the 1,269,501 majority (634,751) had cast their vote in the other direction - errors in counting not withstanding. |
