What is the best solution for painting behind radiators that are too close to the wall to use even the smallest roller
Those special curved brushes wouldn't reach far enough
Don't want to remove radiators or leave the space behind unpainted.
I 've heard of a piece of foam attached to a long handle, but never seen it in Diy stores
Was in "The Range" today and saw a possible solution like this.

You can get paint pads a few inches square with a plastic back into which the handle clicks, about 1cm thick in total. if you got something long, thin and stiff like a school ruler and glued it flat onto the back instead of the handle you'd have a pretty thin painting implement.

Seriously, who the F squints down the back of your rads to see if you've bothered to crack the issue that's bothering you?
Agreed. Nobody will ever see it unless the radiators are removed.

I had the previous residents wallpaper behind mine. I only discovered this when I had the radiators ripped out, otherwise I would have never known.

If you're that bothered OP and don't want to remove the rads, just use the sponge method.

I have a radiator brush bought from one of the large DIY stores. The brush part is small attached to a long thin handle. Not sure how well this will work for you, it does do the job although slowly and a little awkward.

Why do the builders put them so close to the wall?
It's so you can't see that they aren't painted behind.

I made one similar to that guy's method, works a treat.

And the thing is you only really need to paint a little way down and in the sides before you can't see any other paint colour behind the rad.
