Why do people expect somebody's personal health to be discussed in public?
The Queen is still an individual.
Because discussing people is what we do on this forum

I am sure if the Queen had something more serious than a cold she would be back in London in hospital or at least in the capital near faster acute medical help than she would get at Sandringham

Perhaps it's more like flu?

I had flu in 2012 - for the first time in my life. And it was hideous. I was immobilized for nine days and didn't leave the house for two and a half weeks.

I used to be one of those people who said things like "I feel a bit fluey" and "I've got a touch of flu".
Never again will I trivilaize the illness like that. Real flu is downright scary.
1982 for me. It was a good couple of months until I was completely right again.

Yes I can believe it. People don't realise the difference between a nasty cold and flu until they actualy get real flu. Flu is totally debilitating and just simple tasks, like making your way to the lavatory is like climbing a mountain. The first time I had flu (I have had it twice now), I was in my teens and I honestly thought I was going to die. I begged my parents to take me to hospital.

Well do heavy colds last 12 days.. 12 days where you can't leave the house?
Yes heavy colds can last 12 days especially in the elderly, she is 90, maybe check if you have eldery relatives or elderly people you know and see hiw they cope with heavy colds in the wet winter. Don't ask a man they will claim they have the flu.

Well duh. I was querying why some expect her details to be made public (as you can see the first time I said it).

For a 90 year old then yes I think that is possible. Also perhaps she's staying indoors to keep warm and be near paracetamol if needed.

Hope it doesn't develop into pneumonia if it hasn't already.

While I hope it doesn't develop into anything worse, an elderly lady with the snots is hardly breaking news, when there are probably more important news events going on.

But why can't it just be a heavy cold?
Exactly, I have had a n awful cough for three weeks, maybe that's what she's got. I don't think I am on the way out yet.

As is anything that contains ipecacuanha, the dose is taken in a little warm water
It's the old fashioned brown bottle that the doctor would prescribe

The idea a 90 year old woman could be impacted by a heavy cold is simply fantasy. Conspiracy clearly.

Not sure what you're attempting to babble, but it was unintentionally funny.

I don't know about you, but my mother used to dress me, feed me and wipe my arse, and OAPs are often given that sort of care. I'm not sure if that's classed as healthcare though, or what that's got to do with the queen having a cold.

If I was the queen I'd have a bidet, wouldn't you?

Same here. I think it's because it reads like it should be slurred.

I would be fuming if I went to church to have a nice sing about Jesus and the Queen coughed on me.
