Of course. She's an old lady. If it was my mother or grandmother she'd be advised to stay indoors out of this weather.

I had a cold last year that lasted about 10 days, and a persistent cough that lasted about six weeks following it. I wasn't in shape to do very much apart from basic things - and I'm 40 years younger than the Queen.

"Her awful mother's" anger at the Duke of Windsor was more of a hangover from her setting her cap at him initially but he was more interested in married women (Bit like his great nephew), so she opted for second best in the shape of Bertie

It wouldn't do for her to be seen sniffing in hard and coughing up a huge greeny.

These 'sycophants' you refer to, would they also be known as 'staff'?
Do you act sycophantically towards your boss or is that different?

You don't want to say, about The Queen, ''she shook my hand, and gave me a nasty bug'' ..........

Also what would happen with TV and radio coverage ?”

At her age if she had the cold bug some of my family has had ( and they are all young and in good health) then she will not have wanted to get out of bed let alone go off to church to wave at people. At her age things hit your harder and you have to take more care , money and status do not mean the bug you get is nicer to you .
