Most people believe in or do something i'm not a fan of and they're no different.

Same as I feel about other religious people. I don't have any time for it myself, but I don't have a problem with them unless they in any way try to force their beliefs on me.

Well I love the ones in my family, I'd be an odd person not to love them as I raised two of them from 8-9 years old until adult hood. I like the ones I work alongside except one who is an annoying wind up merchant, I respect those I meet when I'm out and about.
Much like I feel about anyone else really.

No prob with Muslims, catholics, buddhists, christians etc....I do have a bit of a negative feeling for scientologists and JWs though

I feel sorry for them, the Irish catholics get to go to the pub after they've had a pray

JWs are ok you just have to be polite to them but also make sure they realise you have your own beliefs.

Indeed, what an odd thread.

My new neighbour is a JW and a kinder, sweeter, nicer lady you could not wish to meet.

Also, she saved me a few pence because I didn't have to send her a Christmas card, unlike all the other neighbours.

Much the same as I feel about human beings in general.

And before they start to pray - just to keep the cold out before kneeling in a draughty pew.

If you go to the trouble of starting a pure bait thread the least you could do is post your own views.

they get a bad press because there's not as many about, and the ones you notice are playing knock down ginger, like the mormons

My parents brought me up to treat all fairly, be polite/respectful regardless of their race/religion/eyv/etc

In our home we respect the decent people that work hard, pay taxes, worked hard and retired, our family moto is 'live and let live as long as it's within the law of the land.'

IMO, this is a pointless thread.

I have no issue with Muslims. I have huge issues with this thread. Terrorists are arseholes regardless of religion.

ALL religions are a waste of time. How is one any better than another? Each to his own but I do wish they would not try to convince people that their religion is the one everyone else should follow. That one reason is the cause of practically all the evil and wars we have on earth, so the less I have to do with any of it suits me fine.

I am not religious but i respect peoples beliefs and am fine as long as people do not push their beliefs onto me

It depends on the muslim. I have no time for the likes of extreme preacher Abdur Raheem Green and people of his ilk. I know some muslims who are not particularly religious and one used to drink down the pub in our circle and I like her. I live near a lot of muslims including some with very conservative views and one very nearby neighbour tries to convert me if I chat with him. His female family members and visiting female friends (with their husbands) all wear the niqab (face veil). On my road there are a lot of Asian restaurants and shops. Most of the workers in the nearest chemist are muslim and they've been fine apart from when I took my dogs and was told muslims don't like being near dogs so I had to put them outside. I suppose a pharmacy isn't the place for dogs but nevermind. When I lived in west London a muslim market trader got really stupid when I walked my dogs past his market stall and he really annoyed me. So basically it depends on what they're like. I am very worried about terrorism having lived near where bombs exploded in London which were detonated by muslim terrorists. I think we will have extra problems with the number of "refugees" coming to Britain who don't like our infidel way of life. Near to where I live an extremist group of muslims put up posters on lampposts and boards which I used to take down. I do think there is a problem where a number muslims dislike our ways and want to change us. Islam is apparently the "fastest growing" religion and I don't want the UK to be led by a muslim Prime Minister...So what do I think of them? Depends on the muslim.

London has a muslim mayor and he seems to be delivering on his pledges. There's that bus hopper fare he's brought about. I think people are scared of Muslims because of the actions of a few loony ones who aren't even practicing the religion properly. For one, any form of killing is prohibited including suicide.

It is good to see though that non muslims have now realised that not all muslims are terrorists lol.

Unfortunately the number of Muslims who are anti Western/liberal culture is hardly "a few". This includes the ISIS terrorists but also hardline deeply conservative Sunni Muslims who although would not commit murder, tacitly support the terrorists, put their women in burqas, are anti gay and do not mix with non Sunnis.

But of course there are many wonderful ones as well so no blanket judgement can be made,

As people fine of course most are.
Having a faith to me can make you a better person.
Don't have the belief that Muslims are bad people just because of the shite that happens because of some.

And this comes from a critical of Islam.

I'll fully agree with this, I feel the same about people who claim to be well into diet & exercise (but are the first to jump from their seat when someone brings Krispy Kremes into the office).

Depends on which Muslims......there is a large variation.
As you can see from this recent BBC prog....
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...uggid=b085zxwk
As with all peoples, there is good and bad, hardliners, and liberals.

I don't believe we, or the Americans or anyone else from the west is over in the Middle East fighting for oil.....I think we have a religious war on our hands - because we don't agree with the "hardliners". The whole oil thing is just a convenient scape goat.

Problem is, the more attacks the hardliners carry out on us, such as in Germany, France, the harder the kickback from the west. Eventually, we will end up in a "real war" much like mr Putin has given us all a taste of and this will be especially nasty, and you know what trump thinks - and you don't want to go that route. Point is, as we have seen already, innocent people who maybe Muslim or may not be Muslim get slaughtered in the process, and beleive it or not, we don't want to see that happen.
