Your approach of censorship and safe spaces doesn't work. All it does is create greater resentment and division; where prejudiced views don't go away, they just go underground. These topics need to be discussed out in the open and if people are prejudiced then we can at least tackle their fears head on.

So, elephant in the room: how bad will these terror attacks get in 2017??, and what will pres trumps reaction be?
On that note, goodnight and sleep sound.

I've read threads asking how people feel about christians and threads asking how people feel about atheists. Does that set your mind at ease a little?

It isn't only religious slaughter and dress that are considered haram/halal it even extends to employment ,such as which jobs they are allowed to do or not. An example: They aren't allowed to teach man made laws.

There are many aspects of Islam and the Muslim way of life that most people aren't aware of.
If you see the lists of haram jobs, it must be quite difficult to find employment, as so many areas are excluded.
Women aren't supposed to work where they will be alone with a male. There are even forums dedicated to advising on which type of work is sinful & to avoid.

I don't feel anything in particular about Muslims per se. The ones I come into contact with seem nice enough people. I don't have any close Muslim friends.

I agree but I prefer to see it and try to answer in a more reasonable tone hoping the op will read and learn, because it's often fear of the Unknown drives some people.

Although I used to be anti-religion, I now respect other people's religions, even though I don't subscribe to one myself.

The most salient comment I've heard is from Yasmin Alibhai Brown who said Muslims expect tolerance when they are in a minority but show no tolerance when they are in the majority. Hence resentment.

Depends whether you are talking about peaceful ones such as the Ahmadi or scum such as the Wahabbi, salafists and Deobandi.

I feel the same towards them as I would about any human.
I do view any religious belief with suspicion and I think it is a pity if anyone in any religion follows a very exclusive and fundamental version of it.

The muslims I know (which isn't a large number tbh) are amiable and nice enough.
