EE: That was a great ending for the Mitchell Sisters...
I loved when it showed them partying I thought that was an important aspect of the Episode to show how the Mitchell Sisters were like when they arrived then it went to the drama which I thought was great that ending where they were together was moving shame they are gone this could be a mistake in the future but it was a great episode.

Horrible ending for the sisters.
Right up there in absurdity with that time that American soap producer killed off its heroine by making her fall UP the stairs. |

That was nothing short of APPALLING!!!
After one episode finally getting the viewer opinions on social media on side with Lee's 'near suicide'. Its back to square one with a huge backlash over that utterly absurd episode. These 2 actresses must be spitting feathers. |

Killing off both seems a big mistake - what about their kids too. Why not ship them off to Epping in a limo. |

Even though the Sun was right and ruined the ending, it was still incredibly powerful. It's the first ep in a long time no one has talked during it.

I liked the episode but the way they killed them off was stupid and unnecessary. Shame. I do think the SoC detractors are right on this one.

Tend to agree - drowning in a hotel pool that wasn't that deep.
And why did Roxy just collapse in the pool - had she taken something? |

I had no issue with the decision to write them out, they're both tired but to ensure they can never return for that stylised shot at the end? This is a decision that will be lamented forever more like Kathy, Pat, Angie and Lucy's death. |

I thought it was really good continuity. It reminded me of when Sean Slater left and Ronnie jumped into the freezing cold lake to rescue Roxy.

I agree it could end up being a mistake in the future, But in the present and at the moment it was a powerful episode.

I thought it was a brilliant ending for them, so eerie when it showed you them floating.

For balance, I want to say that tonight’s episode was visually stunning, and I loved the moments between Roxy and Ronnie. Sal was her usual amazing self, and I love Max and Jack making up. However, it’s a major mistake to kill off Ronnie and Roxy. Rita Simmons and Sam Womack are talented actresses with incredible chemistry. If the writers invested time and energy into coming up with new, interesting material rather than re-hashing old conflicts and ideas (i.e. Roxy screwing up, Ronnie’s overprotective and overbearing behaviour), Ronnie and Roxy could easily be long running characters (I mean really long-running like Ian, Phil or even Dot). They had the potential: strong backstories with tonnes of baggage. I certainly don’t think they were past their sell by date or that the characters were in any way exhausted: it’s a rubbish excuse for the writers not being able to come up with anything interesting. With all due respect, Sam Womack and Rita Simmons are twenty times more talented than Scott Maslen, and yet he gets to stay whereas they were axed? WTF.
I feel like this is a decision the producers will regret in a few years time. |

Laughable that the whole episode was spoilt months ago! We all knew what was going to happen.
So for all these 'shocks and surprises' we were meant to get over xmas and new year, we have had NONE! |

Incredible, incredible episode.
Simply fantastic and a tragic ending for two great characters. I particularly had a soft spot for Roxy but it felt like the right time for her to leave. However, as a double murdress and baby swapper among other things, I think that Ronnie was a spent force and SOC was right to axe her. It felt natural that Roxy went with her. Great episode, 10/10. |

It was a fantastic episode, very sweet, it absolutely represented the Mitchell sisters completely and a bloody amazing (yet slightly horrifying) exit for the characters. However I'm still absolutely gobsmacked they've both been killed off. Yes it made a fantastic episode but like Lucy Beale feels like a big mistake in the long run. 😢

They symbolise 21st Century EastEnders. What the show will be needing now is strong females to replace recent loses (Pat,Peggy,Tanya,Ronnie,Roxy)

"I have this TERRIBLE secret!"
" I want my sister to move away with us!" What has become of soap if this, and bin collection, is worthy of a big soapy moment? |
