EE: The drowniest swimming pool ever!
WTF??? Sheer absurdity.
They could clearly both swim hence their enthusiasm for going for a midnight dip. Any hotel swimming pool is not going to be any deeper than 6ft max, yet they both get into trouble and drown. Pathetic. It would have been more realistic if they drowned in the river going off the bridge earlier in the evening, but that was clearly more difficult for the lazy EE production crew to film. Terrible. |

It's Lee's fault. If Mick hadn't dragged him home he could have jumped in and saved them.

1. Roxy had taken drugs
2. We don't know if Roxy had a fit or similar 3. They were both very drunk 4. Ronnie's dress dragged her down |

Roxy had been drinking and took drugs didn't she? And then the wedding dresses they were both wearing.

It was Ronnie's dress that caused the death in the end.... They both got tangled up in it, I think it was great at the end where Ronnie and Roxy were together. Ronnie must have knew she was going to die and kept onto her promise about being by Roxy's side and moved next to her.

I am usually disappointed how shallow the pools are in any UK hotel I stay in. Not drownable at all.

They could probably both have stood up in the middle of the pool with their heads above water.
![]() Never known a full size pool, hotel or not, to be so shallow you could just stand in it! |

I've been to hotels with deeper pools, so it's not unrealistic.
Plus the state Roxy was in, she could drowned in a bath or kiddies pool. |

People can drown in a few inches of water if the circumstances are dangerous enough.
As others have said, Roxy was very drunk and possibly on drugs and Ronnie was also very drunk. Both were wearing heavy dresses, Ronnie more so. Did nobody do lifesaving at school when you had to wear your pyjamas in the swimming pool? Even that was hard to swim in, never mind layers of veils and beading. Seems a perfectly logical (and painfully tragic) way to go in my opinion. |

Roxy drowned because she was drunk and high on drugs. Not because the pool was too deep. Ronnie drowned because of the weight of the her dress.

Ronnies drowning made sense because of her dress . Roxy less so as she went from diving in to lieing flat on the bottom with no struggle

People can drown in 3 inches of water in the right circumstances you absolute fool. Nothing about this was unrealistic.
