What Do People Want From BB And CBB ?
Because I despair.
I appreciate that I am a bit old fashioned but all I want to see is interaction between "normal" people - are at least as "normal" as you are likely to get given that this is Big Brother !

I just want a casting of good relevant characters particularly in the celeb one.
No more irrelevant people in the celeb one and their determination to make certain characters happen. Watch them tell us how amazing jedward are on the opening night and the bots audience buy into it for a few days |

I would like to see housemates who represent a wider age range than is often the case; who are able to speak intelligibly and at least reasonably intelligently and argue their case effectively when there are disputes. It would also be good if they had no intention of becoming part of a 'showmance' as those are always tedious.
No doubt we will actually get the usual bunch of semi-intelligible, knuckle dragging bozos with the odd slightly more intelligent ones who the majority are suspicious of as they use polysyllabic words, argue without getting angry and are, to use the OPs description, relatively 'normal'. |

I know we can never go back to the good old days but I would love to see more normal HMs who are every day people rather than TOWIE type wannabes who seem to think anyone not wanting to see them giving a bj on the kitchen table is a prude.
For CBB, I'd love to see a series without any reality tv non entities desperate for attention |

I think its a bit unfair to generalise all reality stars like that, look at Scotty T- He was probably the most level headed and intelligent bloke in his series. He also turned down Tiffany on numerous occasions, if he was desperate for camera time then he would of done it. He got called boring by lots of people, which wound me up, as if he had of been loud and annoying then he would of been branded "a desperate wannabe". It is possible to get reality stars that are quite normal.

Natural chemistry between people that don't really know each other beforehand.
Live feed obv helps but whatever never gonna happen. Basically not every situation being set up. I think the pair BB summer set up in summer will be last BB ever. Dont get it. |

It's a weird one. I really shouldn't have, but I ended up really enjoying BB17 despite myself. I really don't like the way the show is produced anymore, especially with there being so much manipulation and constant focus on negativity, but I still find the show very watchable if the people are interesting enough. So there is hope.
As for CBB, any thing that is an improvement on last Summer's woeful series with Bear will be very much welcomed. |

An entertainment program nothing more and nothing less. That last CBB with Bear and that other idiot that went boom very 2 mins was totally unwatchable most of the time. Hopefully this won't be the same.

He was incapable of constructing a sentence without including every 2nd word as a swear word! He was groping Megan a lot of the time, pretending there may be a future for them outside, unfortunately he ''forgot'' to mention he actually had a girlfriend outside. So he he got plenty of camera time which he knew he would receive! Where? |

Intelligent and level headed - are you serious? The bloke was an immature moronic Neanderthal dullard like Beavis and Butthead in human form. He could string 3 words together without one of them being f**k and his conversation was gutter level. He knew he could stroll into the house and do bugger all for a month and his twitter followers would vote anyway.

They deliberately create situations which they know will cause maximum conflict. The days are long gone when likeable people will become HM's, instead, we get wannabes or people who think it's clever to pee the bed, curse & swear at others, or go out of their way to become as obnoxious as possible. Anyone who doesn't behave like that is deemed to be ''boring''. That apparently is the criteria of a ''winner''! They're fed booze every night, have no respect for themselves & certainly no respect for others, & definitely not BB. The producers don't get it, or more likely they don't care what the majority of the fans really want to see. They've taken the franchise of BB & ripped it up, peed on it, & spat it out, & instead given us a scripted reality programme, which is in actual fact no more reality than flying in the air. If people behaved like that in the outside world they would be put away for their own safety, or arrested! That's my take on it anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |

After the last regular series, i gave up. Channel 5 just don't care about what we want. We can complain all we like, it won't make any difference. We either accept it for what it is, or we give it up.
Either way, the show is dead now. There is no way it will ever recover, even if it went off air for a few years. Channel 5 have done irreversible damage to the show. The country see's this show as a joke and the majority of the fanbase is made up of brain dead morons like the people from shows like Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea and TOWIE. The show used to be clever, always trash tv, but not embarrassing to watch like it is now. |

What I want is for BB not making desperate attempts to manipulate the HMs to cause arguments. This includes NO outside contact of any kind, like viewers polls and questionnaires & reading out Twitter & other Social Media comments.
Like Emma, I would really like to see back to basics like the early days, where the HMs really needs to work for the occasional treat, not like it is now, handed out every single day. This includes alcohol, which should not be given as a right but should be on the shopping list and rationed out on the daily bases until their order has run out. Also for the smokers there should be a limit of the amount of tobacco that is brought into the house, when their personal rations runs out they have to earn getting more on the shopping budget by doing the weekly task. Talking of tasks... It would be nice to see shopping tasks, that's over 3 days and sometimes over night too. Make these tasks quite easy to fail, so it will make the HMs work harder and work as a team to pass. These mini tasks, should ONLY be given when HMs are on basic shopping budget so they can earn extra food & luxury items like extra toilet paper etc... it's not for earning parties, more alcohol etc. BB should be consistent with their punishments... Talking about nominations: 1st time, unable to nominate 2nd time, automatically up for eviction 3rd time the whole house is up for eviction Any rule break will have consequences... Breaking out of the house: They'll lose their place in the house forever. Damaging fixtures and fittings in the house and garden: They'll lose their place in the house forever. Any aggressive behaviour towards another HM: They'll lose their place in the house forever. The BB house is not a holiday camp nor should it be an easy ride. Also I would love to see live feed again, I miss Nom Cam

Smaller beds to make it the "sexiest ever" seems to be the order of the day.
