Cost was never an issue..........we were told CH5 had plenty of money to have the LF if they chose to do so. They didn't, so we didn't have it!
The reason most people don't watch it now is because there is no LF. You can't ''get to know HM's in a nightly 46 minute programme. The producers are also free to manipulate & show incidents out of context all they like. If you can see body language etc., even without sound, you can see a lot, without it you're lost. The reality of it is, the producers don't care about the long term ''fans'', they want casual viewers dipping in & out. Or that certainly was the case before Viacom bought the rights, not really sure what this lot want, apart from a quick buck. OK BB did used to have LF - but now does not - so people just have to get on with it - or stop watching because I am 100% certain it will not come back - are at least in the way it used to be. |

Sadly I think it's beyond redemption now. I won't say I actively wish its demise but I certainly won't shed a tear if the contract isn't renewed. I'd much rather come on here and reminisce about the good old days, not the mutant it's become on C5. Even the best loved shows eventually reach their cancel-by date.

That said many of the newer people like it so who am I to say to pull the plug ? I no longer watch - but I still like the forum. |

So, because you don't want to watch it - or do watch it but don't like it - you want C5 to stop making the show, even though there are still viewers out there and it is their top show? Why not just turn off?
I watch the show, I choose to watch the show. Yes, it's not the great show it used to be and I've come to terms with that because I can choose not to watch it, or choose to watch it - I make that choice. I'm old-school, I believe in the old rules - strict punishment, lengthy tasks, live feed, etc. but I know we aren't going to get it so I decide to watch it and accept it's limitations. Nobody forces me to - part of my enjoyment, admittedly, is the forum. I don't watch or enjoy Dr Who but I wouldn't suggest it be removed from TV because I don't like it! I just make the choice not to watch it, simple really. It's beyond me how ppl like the OP can be bothered writing dozens of posts decrying a show they no longer watch and housemates they have never watched but still somehow know quite a bit about. |

I know what I don't want:
Loud obnoxious me me me types (Perez, Bear etc). Sex/snogging/writhing around in bed scenarios. Air time wasted on tediously boring tasks. On CBB - No Rylan. Find somebody else. |

Some laughs, a few good rows, a bit of banter, an insight into why the contestants are taking part and some well thought out games/tasks.
What I don't want is a feeling that I'm somehow being manipulated into liking or disliking a contestant. |

I have decided to accept it for what it is now. BB we know is gone. Even though it is terrible in large parts on Channel 5, i do still enjoy it a bit.
I didn't watch the last celeb series of BB because i reached my breaking point with the show. But after a break, i have decided to start watching again. I'm done complaining about how bad the show is. I know it's manipulated and fixed to keep certain HM's in now, but i'm done moaning about it. I'm just not going to get as involved as i used to be, i would advise the rest of you to do the same if you want to get any enjoyment out of this show now. I really missed the forum during the last series too, so it's good to start talking crap with everyone again

Well said, and you probably don't go on the Dr Who forum cluttering it up by starting threads like this one about how much you loathe Dr Who now but still enjoy the forum.
It's beyond me how ppl like the OP can be bothered writing dozens of posts decrying a show they no longer watch and housemates they have never watched but still somehow know quite a bit about. Before you started to pontificate with your ill judged and incorrect words about me you would have been better served to have looked at all may posts first. I do not speak of housemates I have not watched and nor do I comment on anything I have not seen. For example there has been many posts about this current new series - but you will not find my name on them because I don't even know who the housemates are All my posts are about past series and housemates I have seen or general points about BB and CBB. So get your facts right. |
