Likelihood of Lee's exit with door open for return?
NoughtiesMusic

Aside from Ronnie and Roxy, Lee being axed is the other big name exit still to come.

With the Mitchell sisters being killed off I doubt SOC is going to do the same to Lee so soon after. I don't remember the last time EE did separate death plots so close by. Lee started around April 2014 so his last episode may be April this year at the latest.

He contemplated suicide on Friday's episode and now he's confessed to Mick about the robbery.

Given how things are going he could be disowned by the Carters, face prison time if he commits a crime (killing Oz in a fit of rage?) or even goes on the run.

I wouldn't call Lee a big name, to be fair

Yeah would be a good storyline if he killed Oz. He could go on the run. Don't think Lee could cope with prison.

When they announced Lee was leaving, they put in the statement that Lee could return in the future.

Now unless they have changed their minds or plan to do a "dead Kathy" then I take it as him leaving alive

P.s there was a thread about this exact discussion a few days ago

The only exit other than suicide for Lee is running off, or going to stay with Linda.

I can see Lee joining the long list of characters who have been sent to prison or perhaps it all becomes too much for him to cope with and he just walks out and disappears- a bit like the way Frank Butcher did

Emmerdale had two deaths within three weeks back in October time - and they were in the same family.

It's possible.

He'll do a Frank Butcher I think

I wouldn't like him to do a Frank butcher, mainly because I think EE have shown a different side to the depression storyline by having him get help and then having that moment on the car park roof. If they have him heading off the same way frank and Ian did it would just be an easy way out (writing wise). It either needs to be a stint in jail or he'll go to spend time with Linda and clear his head telling Whitney he just needs a bit of space and he'll be back soon. Then when Linda comes back she'll break the news that Lee isn't returning

this sounds all the more likely now that we know Whitney isn't pregnant, I couldn't see him leaving her even for a short while if she had been pregnant especially so close to losing their baby last time, now I think if he doesn't go to prison he might just take himself away either to Linda which would neatly explain why she isn't rushing back to help him or to do a Frank and just disappear

Couldn't he walk out and start again somewhere else then come back with a new head? The storyline is hard hitting and relevant but the actor isn't the right one to carry it off. I can't even bring myself to feel sorry for him or believe his distress.

He might get locked up

Does anyone still think he's going to Commit Suicide?

I think he will either do that or go on the run.

I think the likelihood of him dying is minimal given Linda won't be back for a year or so. There's no possible explanation for her to miss her Don's funeral. Now if he was Michelle's son, it would be a different story!!

I don't think he needs to. They've done enough to see him spiral out of control, try and jump off a roof and the implication that the lady who saved him lost her son to suicide.

I can't see him committing suicide as they've teased that with the car park roof and the original announcement was suggesting a break, not a death.

I really struggle to see him just running off. To where? Living off what? He can't cope now and he has a (crap) job and a (loving) wife. Where would he go? What would he do? He's got no money and no confidence to rebuild his life on the run all on his own. I know Whitney doesn't know about the revelation of the robbery yet but even so....

It's looking more likely that he'll go to prison for doing Oz in, in a fit of rage. Heck, perhaps it's even possible that it'll be Mick who does Oz in and frames Lee to teach him a lesson. That would be a twist!

Shame he wasn't killed off. I'd rather R & R had an open door exit than him.

I hope he does not top himself, but I hope & wish his exit is imminent. I am tired of him & his s.l.

I agree, they should have let him jump of the roof. The character contributes nothing to the programme.

Oh I'm sure his will, just because he's the most annoying character to be introduced in 5 years.

Logistically I can't imaging Lee killing himself or otherwise dying and Linda not appearing, and since she can't I think that will probably save him. That and it might be too much "excitement" for our new producer's tastes. He'll probably run away in shame and leave Whitney trapped in their marriage and in that pub with his pathetic seed.

I believe Danny has proved that he's a decent actor in his exit storyline.
They'd be daft not to leave the door open for him.

Think he has been brilliant with this story, actors can only act with a decent story and well written scripts ,think he will get grassed up and go to jail
