This Exec Producer is performing brilliantly and tonight was a new high for Eastenders. Best episode of the decade so far. Fantastic storytelling. I was on the edge of my seat and watching through my fingers at points.

A thoroughly fitting tragic end for Ronnie and Roxy with huge emotional punch. You feel so much now for Jack and those poor kids. And it really does feel the passing of an era knowing we'll never see those characters again.

Well done everyone, all cast and crew. Bravo.

It was good, but I don't think it was the best episode of the decade.

Most of LIVE week, Ronnie and Charlie's wedding and Stacey's exit were all better in my opinion

A round of applause ?

Nah, it was average at best. Friday's episode was better than this one.

Easily the best episode of the year!

I think the recent spate of low key endings has helped with the shock value. I can't remember the last time I was so shocked by an ending - I almost wanted it to have a duff duff.

Am very sad about the girls but loved to see them dancing and having fun, that was beautifully shot in slo mo

I thought that was miles better than Ronnie & Charlie's wedding and Stacey's exit at least. The only thing I don't think it beats is both anniversaries.

2 great Episodes in a row

The episode was strong (though not a fan of the ending) but I'd hardly call it the best of the past decade.

Danielle's death
Stacey's sectioning
EE live 25
Stax reveal
Syed and Amiras wedding
Franks funeral
Billy's death

we're all superior imo.

I did enjoy tonight's episode and there was a good level of drama and fun incorporated together. I also liked that show played homage to the years of the Mitchell sisters. However I do think SOC took the sensationalist route with thier exits. To not only be killed off but to be killed off like THAT was just unneccassary.

Easily the best of the last 6 years. My jaw was literally on the floor.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Ronnie and Roxy pretty much sum up Late 2000's - Mid 2010's EastEnders. Like Angie and Den Watts in the 80's, Mitchell Brother's in the 90s and The Slaters in the Early 2000's

Don't like the recent background music EE have been using lately, including tonight, BUT aside from that I thought it was great.

Sad to see R & R go though.

By the decade I meant since 2010.

I was thinking decade as in 2010 to now. Yeah all of those above were really good at the time. Billie's death couldn't have been done better, though I wouldn't really class it as one of the most memorable episodes, if you know what I mean.

I rarely watch EE now, and thought the show (like other soaps) is getting too stale, no way it can ever as epic as it was and thought tonight would be a typically hyped up episode. Tonight proved me wrong.

It was a stunning episode. Disappointing that the Sun did turn out to be right but it was certainly well done by EE.

I can't say I'm bothered about R&R dying, they'd both become very tedious in this last stint, so in many ways it's actually a relief that they can't return, rinse and repeat in the future.

Returns are sometimes all too easy a way for producers to grab headlines. Sometimes a difficult decision that permanently closes a door can force some new creativity and a different direction. There's still three kids who could potentially return in the future depending on what happens now in the aftermath of R&R's deaths.

One of the greatest episodes of EE which I've ever seen. Haunting, tragic, intense, emotional. It just had everything. Major props to everybody involved.

Yeah I agree. Part of me thinks that it's more believable that Roxy was killed off this way and not Ronnie. But then, there was not much that could be done with them over recent years. I think this was a good move in order to freshen up the show and to give them an epic exit and use both sisters to their best in that episode.

I thought it was an excellent episode. Beautifully shot and showing all the characters having fun at the wedding not realising the tragedy that was about to occur. Whilst I liked Ronnie and roxy, I think it was a good decision to kill them off - it will set off other storylines for those left and it will mean that it their stories are now closed and finished. And it is an epic ending for the iconic sisters. Would we really have been happy with them driving off to Ongar together? Or would we have said such a low key exit was not fitting of the mitchells? I know you can't please everyone, but I loved that episode and thought it was brilliant.

I cant believe some people on here are saying it is one of the great Eastenders episodes, when there have been hundreds that were better than tonights

Good lord, it's SUBJECTIVE. You may think "hundreds" have been better, while it looks like many others disagree with you. Neither is right or wrong.
