A list of the different references to the Mitchell sisters past in tonight's episode.

The Calvin Harris song was the one I picked up most clearly. They used that for their intro trailer in 2007.

To be fair the only one that leapt out at me was the soda siphon spraying and I remember their entrance clearly

Yeah the Calvin Harris one really stood out. They were such a breath of fresh air when they first arrived.

A few more references I made with previous references (although no.1 could probably count as part of the girls arrival from the official easter egg list):

1) When the girls were talking about Ongar on the roof, Roxy said "It's hardly Ibiza is it", echoing her very first impressions of Albert Square when first arriving in 2007.

2) Ronnie said she would like them both to open a bar in Ongar, and of course they opened R&R together not long after first arriving.

3) Ronnie ended up trying to save Roxy in another "watery situation", likewise New Year's Day 2009 when Roxy fell through the ice on that lake with Sean Slater. Roxy was in trouble then and Ronnie dived in to save her, just like tonight. Even her scream of "Roxy!" just before she dived into the pool.

I definitely noticed that the disco scene was very similar to their first trailer.

The camera also hovered on the painting of Queen Victoria in Roxy's hotel room ....

I noticed the song as well, which is a good track.

Love this. Yet again, just shows how meticulously planned and effectively carried out the exit storyline was

Very true. There was a lot of care and respect put into it.

There have been a few misconceptions that SOC disliked R & R but the fact that EE went to the trouble of putting all these little nods to the past throughout the episode showed that SOC had a lot of respect for the characters and didn't want to discredit their contribution to the show for the last 10 years

The burning question now is who will get custody of Ronnie and Roxy's prized Ibiza posters that hang in the living room?
I think they should go next to the bust in the Vic

People can moan about them dying but the whole episode was an amazing exit for both characters, something Eastenders has struggled with the past few years. It will go down as an iconic Eastenders exit/episode imo and one we will be talking about for years to come.

Yeah, for all the wrong reasons.
