Very interesting reading some of the predictions from back then. Now that the internet has been around for a bit, we have hindsight and foresight!.
Quote:
“*Physical entertainment media (CDs, DVDs) will be almost totally displaced by commercially available computerised downloads. Both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray will have the same status as Betamax.”
Well streaming has taken off, so psychical media isn't prevalent as it once was. And Blockbusters went bust.
Quote:
“*Tony Blair is dead. Cherie Blair keeps appearing on TV and fighting for endless inquests to prove her husband was murdered, possibly by MI5 or the CIA.”
We can only hope.
Quote:
“*The age of retirement will be increased to 70 for both sexes.”
Spot on. Thank you Tories..
Quote:
“*Big Brother will still be on air in the UK, with ratings skyrocketing after a murder is committed live on TV.”
There's still time

“Will people still be shopping on the High Street or will the Internet have completely taken over?”
Well it's getting there. Alot of iconic high street stores like Woolworths, BHS, Comet, ect have all gone. My local town looks like a ghost town now, with about 30 shops lying empty.

I can't think of any of the modern ones who will pass into such legend.”
2016 took care of that mostly...
