Since no one put a poll in the forum thread for the episode, and since I love seeing how popular episodes are via polls, I'd thought I post one here.

Also can discuss why if you want.

1 - poor
10 - excellent

10/10 for me, can't stop thinking about it. Can't believe they've gone though.

8. Enjoyed the wedding, the Mitchell girls looked amazing (despite the fact that in reality they'd look like they'd been dragged through a hedge when arriving in a convertible. Mine turns me into instant Worzel), the ending was really sad seeing them together, Roxy decided not to take drugs and could have turned a corner making it more harrowing etc. It lost 2 points for Lee "Woodentop" Carter as that really wasn't necessary tonight and could have waited.

10/10.

It will go down in history as one of the best/biggest episodes ever, even if it was a mistake to kill them.

Final shot lingered far too long, quite distasteful

EE at its best.

Just didn't want R&R to die

10/10. Was the first episode in a while where I was watching intently and wasn't disappointed. Reminded me of earlier years in the whole production of the episode, really loved it.

I gave it a 9, but it would have been a 10 if it hadn't been for Lee's snot'n'tears fest. That didn't gel with the rest of the episode, and I'm really bored with it.

Does anyone still think there will be a twist tomorrow?

As for your question OP a solid nine out of ten - it was superb.

Oh and for people stating Ronnie could have just stood up I bloody well doubt it - I was right the first time - a shot showed the pool was about ten deep deep were they were so unless Ronnie suddenly developed gigantism she had no chance.

10/10 and I still give it that after watching a second time.

The NYD episode is always memorable in EE.

This confuses me too - and it doesn't seem like standing up would've been all that effective either, Roxy would've been dead anyway, she'd just be standing in the middle of a swimming pool with her sister lifelessly next to her.

4 out of 10. Too contrived for me and a desperate attempt to get the ratings up for New Years Day without a care for the future of the soap. It's the been the same thing on repeat for the last few years in Eastenders, there is no balance.
