I've read that it's Scott Maslen's wife who mainly deals with his Twitter account. Scott isn't that active so it could've been her who "liked" the tweet.

He like a tweet. He's spent the evening liking loads of tweets. Doesn't make him furious about anything although I do like your Grammar comment. Reminds me of "lets eat Grandma/let's eat Grandma" which my son finds hilarious.
Let's eat, Grandma. Let's eat Grandma. But I know what you mean ![]() And sorry for the confusion, I wasn't talking about the "furious" aspect of the post; I was just commenting on cast member's versus cast members. Maybe I should, instead, get some sleep? :P |

Maybe someone should call the cast (or in this cast one person) a Wahmbulance. You'll know when it arrives, it'll be going "WAH-WAH-WAH-WAH".

Scott Maslen will almost certainly be axed now for tweeting that.
It sounds like he's already gone. And with Max's raison d'etre being the Mitchell girls it sounds like his character won't be back. A little bitter perhaps? |

To be honest even Sam Womack's Tweet was a bit suspect. She seemed to be in shock which is surprising for someone who filmed the scenes weeks ago.
It's not the usual buoyant (scuse the pun!) "thanks to everyone I worked with..." Blah blah Tweet that actors usually give when they leave a show (even if their departure is tragic or final) |

All of this would have been filmed weeks ago, even the "alternative" aftermath stuff, so despite what they may or may not have known for sure- They did know for certain that Sam and Rita were no longer in the show.

Scott usually likes and retweets many tweets from fans. But it's naturally understandable if he's not pleased with Ronnie/Roxy's deaths because he's close friends with Sam and Rita and misses working with them.

Technically correct - he just missed the apostrophe.
I don't see how one person, Scott Maslen, is seen as representing the whole cast. Misleading thread title Quote:

His twitter no longer mentions he's in Eastenders like it used to. Reading too much into it?

If you ever looked on it, there would be lots of posts of people pretending to be his wife! It was bizarre. |

I'm sure the cast would be too professional to voice anger or concerns but I think there must be a level of anger at the way the characters and actresses have been treated. Getting rid of both sisters abd actresses in a sense reveals that the producer does not value their work. Barbara Windsor has spoken out about the decision critically and I think it's understandable for cast members to feel they have been poorly treated. Killing them off with no option to return is a mistake.

Didn't Ellen Thomas like or retweet something about SOC being fired as well? I wouldn't be surprised if Scott Maslen has left the show. Their was speculation about their being more departures, maybe Scott Maslen Is one of them.

Scott really isn't doing himself any favours then.
I'm guessing Jack will also be leaving. |

Just saw Rita in panto this pm ... she made a couple of jokes about rising from the dead and Ronnie ... she was really good. I'm sure she will have ample job offers and plenty of work.

The cast REALLY aren't happy with the way this has gone down If he IS furious about it - I can't see why. He's an actor. The girls' exit opens up new storylines for him; male single parent, possible adoption of Matthew, Ricky's mother, also Ronnie's cousin, wanting him back. I would have thought he'd relish the opportunity to explore these things. Like Ashley in Emmerdale; he may not have planned, or wanted, to leave, but he jumped at the dementia storyline. It's challenging; it's what they do. |

One boring bloke who likely knows his time is up doth not "cast members .." make .
He has nowhere to go with his character with those two gone and even managed to bore us with this story line. Not sure what happened to him but he has definitely gone off the boil . |
