That's what she claimed to Jack but we have no way of knowing whether that wS true or just something she said when she had second thpughts so she didn't look so bad.

If it was only meant to be to scare him, why was the car taken to the scrap yard and put in the crusher by the men she had hired? Why didn't she let the man she believed to be Vincent out when she visitedThe Arches on Xmas morning when he'd already been trappen in the boot overnight? Surely that would have been long enough to scare him wouldn't it? But no, she didn't let him out and say it'd be worse next time, she taunted him that he'd be going to get crushed soon. Then left again and allowed the men she had hired to go throigh with tsking him to the Crusher.

Still, it is a soap opera. Ronnie isn't real. The crimes she has committed aren't real. It's like watching four episodes of Breaking Bad and hoping Walter White gets his comeuppance ASAP for making meth. Just enjoy the damn character and the show.

It wasn't just any man but Damien who was Roxy's long time boyfriend. He used to cheat on Roxy and treat her badly and Roxy was only getting back with him and going back to Ibiza because they needed money to pay off Peggy's debts or something and Damien would only transfer the money once they were in Ibiza. Damien told Ronnie that once Roxy leaves he'll make sure she won't come back and he slapped Ronnie too because he didn't like what Ronnie was saying then Ronnie decided to make it look like he was raping her and Jack arrested him and she and Roxy blackmailed him for money and told him to leave and they wouldn't press charges.

Basically Ronnie was wrong but it wasn't just a random man and Roxy knew it was fake when Jack was arresting the guy.

She wont become a saint if the truth comes out

I'll watch the show however I wish to thanks. Who are you to say that I don't enjoy the character or the show?

I know it's not real and of course I don't care about the morality portrayed in the way I would actual crimes.

For the record, some of the characters I most enjoy watching, and often sympathise with are deeply flawed, often ammoral characters, including even killers.

But I don't see what that has to do with the comments made on this thread.

Some posters are saying that Ronnie was not responsible for Fatboys death. Others, including me, are merely stating the reasons that she is. Also why she is worse than most of the other characters for having done this, amongst other things.

Discussing what has actually been shown doesn't mean it is being taken too seriously or not enjoyed as a soap.

Why shouldn't people talk about Ronnies crimes if they want to? They are as much part of her character as the dead children and tragic heroine stuff. You originally stated that you.wished oeopke would stop mentioning them as everybody had committed them so surely pointing out the perceived difference in severity is pertunent to the duscussion?

And again, I'd like to know which other current characters have actually planned a murder in the show since the statement was nearly everybody else was just as bad.

As it happens, I did like Ronnie. But that doesn't blind me to her faults and things she dud wrong during her time on the show.

Personally, I don't see the point in revealing that Fatboy is dead or that Ronnie was involved.

All the reveal will do is hurt people who are innocent in regard to what happened; namely Dot, Jack and the children. Even Kim and Pearl as Vincent's part would come out too.

Ronnie's dead and Claudette's gone so the only character left on the show to face any consequences would be Vincent - who arguably has the least blame of the three.

Anyway, as long as the other characters don't find out there is always the chance that Fats could come back one day. Now that'd be an interesting twist especially if they could keep it secret!

I agree with just about everything that's been posted on here.

Let's not forget that, on top of her other crimes, the torment she put Alfie and Kat through in the baby-swap story. OK she served a prison sentence for it, but showed hardly any remorse for what she did to them.

Karma has properly bit her on the bum but I feel nothing for her. I'm more concerned about how Roxy was treated by Jack, and the more vile he was to her the worse she got, like he was all sweet and innocent.

I'll miss Roxy - at least she had a bit about her, unlike her Stepford-Wives sister.

All this could still come out, especially if SOC is as keen on detail and tying up loose ends as he appears to be from what we've seen so far. As I said, on one of the other threads, if (a big 'if' I know) Ronnie and Charlie were never divorced, there's nothing to stop Charlie returning and claiming not just Matthew but Ronnie's goods, chattels and business too, being her legal husband.

It would be good to see Jack's, Dot's and Vincent's reactions.


The trouble with a Fatboy return is that the actor was sacked for good reason rather than just axed. AFAIK, Declan Bennett, whilst, not treated especially well, wasn't sacked or didn't leave on bad terms, so there could be the possibility of a new EP being able to sweet-talk him into coming back. Who knows?

I can't agree with that. She confessed without any pressure and pleaded guilty. What more could she do ?

Haha That would be amazing. Although everyone knows she was married to Charlie so not sure how she could have got away with marrying Jack without divorcing him. I know it happens and maybe she could have just pretended she got divorced to keep in with her cover story that Charlie is visiting Yvonne or whatever it was. It is just very poor writing. We are just to assume that it happened off screen. Soon they will be telling us that actually Charlie has being seeing his son off screen

If you've been married previously, you need to provide proof to the Registry Office that you are legally free to marry - ie the death certificate of your first spouse, an annulment certificate or a decree absolute - before a wedding certificate will be issued. So Ronnie must have provided the paperwork to prove she had divorced Charlie (and Jack will have had to provide his copy of the decree absolute from when he and Ronnie divorced!)

I do think the baby swap was dealt with as she did confess, ead guilty and do her time without complaint or excuse,not even trying to go for a temporary insanity plea which I'd say would actually have been justified as her history and shock of James death meant she wasn't in her right mind.

Of course,nothing can ever make up for the mental trauma that Kat and Alfie went through, or replace the months they lost with Tommy. But she did accept responsibilit and she did atone for it.

I have much more of a problem with Carl, Fatboy, Charlie...

She could have stayed away after she left prison (I'm certain that she would have been banned from going anywhere near the Square, or specifically, Kat and Alfie but TPTB conveniently ignored that) and left her sister and anyone else she'd hurt to get on with their lives without her hanging around.

She also accused a man in a bar of trying to rape her in Spain, (Roxy told us he did nothing of the sort), unfortunately the man turned out to be an off duty police officer and she got an official warning. This happened off screen, but Roxy told Peggy about it when they returned to Walford.

I think people are forgetting charlie planned to run with matthew and roxy. The only reason he was run out of town was because roxy double crossed him and chose ronnie over him in the end. Eastenders public awfully selective when we want to be. Sam with fatboy! Ronnie inadvertently caused his death. SHE did not murder him. Even carl was self defence! She is a character who made mistakes, big ones but not some arch villainess murderer

In real life, she would not have gone to prison, but a psychiatric ward and kat/alfie would not have stayed in walford!

Ive no problem with carl other than the car squash but he was dead already. Zero problem with charlie though as he planned to so the same to her just didnt bargain roxy would pick sister loyalty over him!

How has soc proved he is good on tying up loose ends. Hes the opposite...claudette, fatboy etc! Charlie was a short lived marriage and ronnie not bothered about him. Why woukd they show the divorce? She divorced him offscreen and enough time has passed for divorce. And charlie was axed si unlikely returning!

Are you kidding? Ronnie was absolutely contrite for what she had done and was deeply sorry for it! She refused to have any of her past troubles aired in court as she knew it would likely mean a much leaner sentencing, she served her time and only came back to Walford because Kat brought her back and Roxy had got involved with Alfie.

Honestly baffled as to why you anyone would miss Roxy more than Ronnie. Ronnie was always (and always will be) the more interesting and complex character.

Don't get me wrong, neither character was perfect, both made mistakes and it's a shame that Roxy's last few months of life were so miserable however that was mostly her own doing, I agree Jack was a hypocritical git- but Roxy chose to keep taking drugs, getting drunk and who forgets to pick their child up from school?

Because the last the viewers knew she is/was still married to him. They don't have to mention it you are right and we have just to make our own conclusions that it was done off screen but for someone that is supposed to be scared of Ronnie is he going to want her knowing where he is in the world? Surely that would make divorce papers getting to him difficult? Just like when we don't see bodies and we are suppose to assume they are dead but they come back alive years later. Why not just say "My divorce is finalised" and that is it.

I think that is called soap poetic licence. There are lots of things us viewers would like to see. Ie. The fatboy reveal but as a viewer why do i care about ronnies divorce paper to a man offscreen, who she barely knew (it was a quicky marriage to s one night stand that lasted a couple of months with clear grounds of adultery and a relationship of less than 6 months). And who is to say charlie didnt file the papers?

As for fatboy; jack knew what happened that night so i dont think a reveal would add much to him. The drama was always in ronnie finding out that she hadnt managed to stop the hit and thus partially responsible for the death. But also claudette needed around for the reveal to include how she sent fatboy to be mistaken for vincent. Without ronnie around and claudette not around;reveL pointless. 6

Once again, if Ronnie had not organised for Vincent to be taken, put into a boit and taken to be crushed, thennobody would have died.

You're accusing people of being selective but you are doing the same thing.

Charlie didn't plan on taking Matthew until after Ronnie had dumped him and made it ckear she intended him to have no contact with her or the baby. By force if necessary.

I can't see how revealing all what Ronnie has done furthers any other storylines. The only people left that don't know or would care are Vincent and Dot.

May as well brush it all under the carpet with Ronnie's ashes.
