That was without doubt one of the most hideous wedding outfits ever . From the multi layered ugly baggy gown with trailing floppy sleeves, to the freaky looking short veil with it's own little petticoat frill hanging from it . Very very weird and Miss Haversham like .

My exact thought when I saw it! Convinced me for a while Jack was either going to run off or die!

Sharon's wedding dress is still my favourite frocky horror.

Heavily ruched at the midriff - unflattering as it gave the impression Sam is 5 months pregnant.

When I saw both Ronnie's dress and Ronnie's wedding outfit I immediately thought they were both pregnant. Ronnie's dress was vile.

Yes, it didn't suit her at all. Very unflattering.

She's been made to look frumpy for ages so it wasn't surprising. Nothing beats Sharon's hideous dress though - that should win awards for being completely unflattering. I thought Roxy looked gorgeous though.

That's one of the things that's put me off Ronnie , you never see her in anything fitted . Everything is droopy and floppy and wafting around her with yards of useless fabric just dangling shapelessly . She used to go running in the square in fitted (obv) running gear , but then they made her frumpy and baggy . Like Sharon .
I get that they needed her dress to be her killer , but seriously , that was truly ugly . Usually the groom goes teary eyed and whispers "You look beautiful" , but I think I heard Jack mutter "Holy crap, that's one ugly concoction of a dress , even for Albert Square babe "

I presumed there was an un-filmed backstory where Jack went on Don't Tell The Bride and got it horribly wrong.

That's what it looked like .

The EE costume dept have obviously had a memo to disguise any weight gain in female characters with frumpy, loose fitting outfits. Sam has put on weight, noticeably in her torso and the tops of her arms, otherwise they would have had her wearing the classic tight bodiced strapless number. Instead they swathed her in lace and made her look bigger. They do the same thing with Lauren since JJ got back from maternity leave.

Women who aren't size 10 and under can still look brilliant, but not if they're only allowed to wear baggy clothes.

You're right. I'm a 12 and saw a photo of me recently in a baggy top where I look like the love child of Giant Haystacks and a Weeble. In fitted clothes and gym wear I look almost normal. Sam would have looked better in a more fitted dress rather than something that my Nana would have used to cover toilet roll.

Someone should make a thread of all the worst EE wedding dresses haha

She wouldn't be seen dead in it.

Roxy's foresight in dressing for a funeral should be admired.

The real horror was Sharon's cheap rag of a dress which was highly inappropriate for a wedding.

I thought she looked very gothic, which was fitting given how she died.

I thought Honey looked awful, and Sharon looked like she was going clubbing in 2002!

Start it with all 5 of Sharon's. the wardrobe department need to learn to dress her better. She's an attractive woman wth a large chest - surely there's something better than baggy tops or empire lines.

The wedding dress was horrible, and did nothing for her. She looked pregnant in it. Sharon is always badly dressed, IMO. That get-up last night was horrible.

Compare the women of Emmerdale and how they dress to those in EastEnders. The wardrobe department need to sort it out!

It's quite an ill thought out wedding really.

I mean they only got the car as a last minute surprise from Phil. It's hardly surprising the dress looked horrible if they didn't even know how they were getting the bride to the church 5 minutes before they were about to leave.

They clearly weren't expecting the car so was the bride going to head to the venue on the tube?

Sharon is another who's put on weight over the years but could still look good in the right outfit. Her legs have remained very slim which is why they put her in short skirts.

TBF they had to find something light and floaty with yards of spare fabric to make that ending work.

My mum said it made her look pregnant next to Roxy
