I was reading the CS blog post and they predicted these storylines for 2017... Do you think they will happen!
2017 anticipated storylines (speculation and educated guesses):

Michelle will find out about Leanne’s baby being Steve’s and she and Steve will break up
Robert and Michelle will have an affair
Fiz and Tyrone will get married and have a baby
Liz will find a new man
Phelan will get his comeuppance, maybe get killed and there will be a “Who Killed Phelan?” mystery
Maria won't spend the whole year in prison, she and Aidan will get together but not last out the year.
Audrey will retire and go traveling with Freddie
Jason will return with a wife
Sophie and Kate will get together

Not sure on Jason and hope not re Fizz/Tyrone but can see the rest happening

David and Shonna (?) will get together.

When Rosie comes back with Sophie she'll more than likely have an affair with Adam

That sounds like a given!!
In fact it's fair to say Adam will probably make his way round most of the younger women of the Street!!
Eva will be another as soon as she finds out what Aidan's been up to!!
Sinead would be another guess for me!!

I would like to see Phelan become a significant business and property owner within the street, maybe he can con Kev out of the garage and his house with Kev being financially ruined and either having to beg Phelan for a job or leave forever.

Someone will be wrongfully imprisoned for murder.

A shock explosion and/or fire will change life on Coronation Street forever.

Someone will fall pregnant after a one night stand.

Another complex affair plot will start between Peter/Leanne/Toyah/Nick (Nick will probably get with Toyah).

Will this be the year (as said by many FM's) that we see new owners of the Rovers Return?

I predict Ken will be talking normally again. The results of this won't be available immediately but eventually you will realize nothing has changed, he's still talking horseshit. One of the newly arrived crew who thought his horseshit was temporary due to his stroke will be unable to take it, and will fluff up a pillow to put it over his face in a fit of rage. The purge will be a sad day for Eccles that's for sure but what can you do.

Oh bugger, I forgot to include this on my list:

One character will suffer life-changing injuries.

I think Eccles will be killed off as he has become a very minor character. He hasn't had a proper storyline since 2014 when he chewed Ken's slippers and chased the postman down the street.

The one thing I REALLY want is the return of the best soap character ever - Terry Duckworth. "'Allo son - can yer help yer old dad out. It's just a loan ... until I get back on me feet. I'll pay you back, honest son".

Ken won't be around to say anything but if he was you can rest assured he would say it was a little more serious than life changing injuries, and Vicar Billy would concur with this at his funeral.

Not confirmed, could go either way, Norris gets married.

Yes I suspect most of these will happen - in fact I almost started an identical thread which would have included many of the same predictions!

I think we all know where the Michelle/Steve/Robert/Leanne baby story is going. I won't reveal the spoilers that have come out recently but I suspect Steve & Liz won't be able to stay away from Leanne's baby which will make Michelle suspicious and make Nick go crazy again. Leanne will leave Nick & end up with either Peter (again - yawn!) or Steve.

The only ones I'm not sure of are Jason coming back - depends how badly his career out of Corrie goes. And I hope Audrey doesn't leave. BTW what happened to her and Ken getting together??

Of course we can all be sure that 2017 will bring an explosion/fire which will have "life changing consequences" for one character but they will be fully recovered within 2 weeks. Also whoever was responsible for said explosion will be let off whilst an innocent person will be falsely accused. But when the real culprit is revealed they will be forgiven after a week.

Another possible opportunity for Phelan the new landlord of the Rovers.

David and Shona a couple -- that's a given

Daniel and Gemma -- I reckon they will go for the opposites attact/unlikely couple scenario

Phelan will finally get his comeuppance
The 'private' bed at the hospital will get another 3 or 4 occupants
Freddy and Erica will be axed
Emily will be permanently written out
Kirk and Beth will have an official wedding

I can agree with your other points except Fiz and Tyrone. I can see them getting married finally (I am actually surprised it didn't happen last year) but I doubt they will have a baby together, especially if they stick out their marriage and are seemingly happy. Married couples are rarely allowed children on Corrie now.

My predictions
Eva will hook up with Adam after her split from Aidan. But of course Adam is a "bad boy" so will no doubt cheat, and we will be going through the whole rigmarole with Eva being betrayed by blokes again.

Brian and Mary get together

Todd strays from Billy and cheats with another bloke (honestly I hope Billy leaves this year).

Peter and Toyah will get engaged, but Peter will be desperate for booze and we will be teased as to whether or not he will fall off the wagon.
