Tuesday round my way.

If you google school holiday dates and put the name of your local council you can find out when they are in your area.

In most cases yes.

I expect a few around the country won't go back due to "adverse weather conditions" or a discovery that the school buildings have been flooded, which happened to a comprehensive school local to me every year when I was in school: the jammy gits used to get a week's extension to the Christmas holidays every year!

P.S. Good advice from sodavlac!

10th of Jan for my son. Didn't break up until the 23rd though. Counting down the days now, I need some term time routine back.

Check your local council website as has been mentioned previously. Not every area is the same.

It can't come soon enough if it means posters like that Princessxxxxxx pisses off for a bit and stops clogging up the boards with inane posts about money, mummy and daddy.

Normally I prefer it when the kids are off cos it cuts my commute in half and I don't get cut up every five mins by "yummy" mummies carting Alfred to school in their Chelsea tractor cos she can't be arsed to drive in the right lane

But, I am feeling like not soon enough at present

The schools here are back next Monday, but didn't come off until the 23rd.

It always seems like a longer holiday when Christmas and New Year are at the weekend.

Come to think of it it's interesting that these holidays haven't had the influx of um.. fevered debate that usually occurs.
