Some light relief on a bank holiday for hard-working problem solvers on this forum !

The photographic archive www.vintag.es have relayed an article from www.history-computer.com which starts off giving details of a wooden mouse in the 1960s, and then goes on to describe how the Americans invented everything to do with computers, in the 1960s... The article is at :

http://history-computer.com/ModernCo...sis/mouse.html

Back in the days before blogs and forums, we used to have "user groups". There were several computing-related ones in the UK, which I used to contribute to, working in the industry. I once had a long online discussion with a man from BT, who told me in no uncertain terms that BT invented everything to do with computer hardware - mice, screens, keyboards, the internet - and that BT were consequently owed millions of pounds in unpaid royalties.

After a while, we just stop believing ANY claims from ANYONE...

But anyway, it is a bit of light reading for 10 minutes on another UK Bank Holiday !

Happy reading ! All the best for 2017 !

It doesn't really claim that America invented everything however you can see Engalbarts demonstration on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJDv-zdhzMY

Britain invented cheap travel. You could go to Australia free of charge if you suitably qualified - LOL.
