I normally avoid movie trailers as I find they give away far too much of the plot, and even the posters are rather daft, as in one horror film I recall the ending is revealed on the movie poster.

Anyway, I'm not a Brad Pitt fan so I watched his trailer for Allied - 2016, and it was like watching a whole movie in one minute.

We get to see every key point in the film, apart I guess from the ending - although that might have been included.

If you want to see this film, I suggest you avoid the trailer.

I worked out the twist in 'The Sixth Sense' from the trailer. When I went to see the movie, all throughout I kept thinking that they'd catch me out with a double bluff, but they didn't.

The best trailer was 'Alien' which gave away absolutely nothing. I guess the production companies wouldn't allow that these days. They want bums on seats and don't want to rely on word of mouth.

Batman v Superman official trailer 2 spoiled the entire three act structure. Ridiculous.

Trailers and promotions for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 gave away a lot about the movie. You could pretty much study and come up with the plot yourself and how it all pans out.

Hitchcock did great trailers. From psycho onwards. The trailer from psycho tells you nothing.
