Making a bi-fold door
I want to make three simple bi-folding doors for my home.
My doorways are a little larger size than a normal size door . 32inch x 79 inch I will make them without the sliding mechanism So basically a door with two parts held together with a piano hinge. and a magnetic catch in the middle for closing. They do not need to be locked .. I cannot find where to buy the half size door panels I have found a few but would be cheaper to buy a full door and cut it ( I cannot do that or I would) Where would be the best place to buy CHEAP door panels. half doors or maybe wardrobe door panels? |

Not sure if they would do it or not, but maybe get full size doors from B&Q and ask them to cut them in half for you ? Would need to be solid wood ones, obviously...

We bought a couple of these ready made and just got a carpenter to come and fit them, although possibly not as inexpensive as if you make them yourself.
