What's the odds he'll become a permanent LBC presenter when he loses his EU job? Once Brexit kicks in there won't be any British MEPs .Nigel has always loved the sound of his voice so he'll be a natural fit at LBC.

He never does his EU job anyway.

Nigel is on LBC again tonight and for the rest of the week between 10pm and 1am.

I'm sure he'll have more to say about the resignation of the UK's ambassador to the EU Sir Ivan Rogers.

He seems to do what he said he would do. Which makes a change from politicians not doing what they said they would do and doing what they said they would not. Plus the fact he is democratically elected into the EU parliament.

Yes, Nigel Farage came as a shock to many at first - a straight talking politician who was anything but PC. People eventually learned to trust him and as they say the rest is history.

As a radio phone in presenter I think he has been very good so far. He allows people the time to challenge and confront him and responds in a fair way.

Heard Nick Clegg call brexiters "swivel eyed" again today on C4. I like the fact that farage doesn't lower himself to the level of those fanatics. He speaks clearly and respectfully.

This would be the Farage who told Herman van Rompuy in the European Parliament "You have the charisma of a damp rag and the appearance of a low-grade bank clerk" before reminding him "You come from Belgium, which is pretty much a non country".

Hmm. Which one do I trust has our interests at heart?

The one that lied to get a seat at the top table by making a pledge on tuition fees only to vote the opposite way post election result and then goes on to insult 52% of the electorate by implying that they're swivel eyed loons because they didn't vote accordingly to satisfy his parties stance or the one who insulted an individual that he's been having a war of words with for umpteen years? It's hard to separate them. Pfft

He didn't lie as such. He made a promise which he later found unable to fulfil. That's not unusual amongst politicians. And I doubt that he referred to everyone who voted Leave as "swivel eyed".

It was in his manifesto!

Its political suicide to make a promise you can't keep and he found that out the hard way. The 2 faced bastard deserved the absolute roasting he and his party got at the last election.

Complete sell out that still has the gaul to lord it over people because he thinks he knows better.

And you know very well that not everything in a manifesto gets done.

Its political suicide to make a promise you can't keep
Happens with parties all the time, and especially if you enter into a coalition as junior partner it's inevitable. It's not usually political suicide, though in this case it was, because of the personal pledges.

and he found that out the hard way. The 2 faced bastard deserved the absolute roasting he and his party got at the last election.

Complete sell out that still has the gaul to laud it over people because he thinks he knows better.
Don't know what you mean by "lauding it" over people. "Lording it" perhaps? Still doesn't make sense.

Then you misunderstand the pledge that they made. It was clearly stated by them that they would vote against any increase in tuition fees. It was designed to garner the votes of many students. It was a pledge over and above a manifesto intent, it was a specific statement given prominence over and above any item in the manifesto to highlight just how important it was as a principle to them. That was a lesson learned for them and for those who voted for them on the strength of that pledge.

Perhaps Farage should have told the truth by telling everyone that the 350M printed on the side of a bus was not true or not stood in front of his racist immigration poster.

Shock horror, it works both ways.

Well he did not print the 350 mil on the side of the bus and the poster was a factual portrayal of people trying successfully to cross borders illegally.

True, but I still don't understand why Clegg refers to Brexiters as swivel eyed. That is highly offensive. I know he pretends to play the ultimate modern liberal - but I am surprised people who actually have this disability - have not made a fuss about this.

The poster was also a pretty close copy of one used in Nazi propaganda.

Are you confusing the phrase with something else? 'Swivel-eyed' is not a medical term at all and does not refer to any disability, it simply means to rotate the eyes in a frenzied manner.

From the Oxford English Dictionary :

Holding or expressing political views regarded as extreme or fanatical:
‘a swivel-eyed loon banging on about the Magna Carta’

....which shows that Clegg's use of the term is perfectly acceptable and proper.

Did you know that Hollywood is interested in making a film of Arron Banks' The Bad Boys of Brexit: Tales of Mischief, Mayhem & Guerrilla Warfare in the EU Referendum Campaign ??

See here for further details: https://twitter.com/LeaveEUOfficial/...47179126382592

It's a good read.

It's always nice to listen to Nigel on LBC. Negative or positive towards him, Nigel is always very fair and balanced with his callers. Unlike another unmentionable on LBC who makes it all about himself.

Nigel and Arron, and I don't know who else, will be off next week for the Big Bash in the USA:

It looks like they've been invited to lots of events.

Really enjoyed the debate with Katie Hopkins about racial profiling today.

I was expecting quite a lot of calls and nasty tweets from the 'outraged white person on behalf of' mob, but they must have been having a day off thankfully.
No, they're still on holiday in places like Tuscany for their extended Christmas/New year break.

Sounds like Kleenex time for the DS rabid right-wingers.
I bet they go all swivly eyed moments prior to using the Kleenex. But it's progress at least from this version of the right the Alt, is learning to tidy up its own messes. They should not be mocked for this effort.

Not in any way a propaganda exercise then?
