Big changes at the BCCI:

BCCI president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke have been removed from their posts by the Supreme Court of India in an order passed in Delhi on Monday morning.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/co...y/1075078.html

This shouldn't have any affect on England's ODI tour where all the finances have already been agreed

Not sure how much the IPL will be affected though

Where's Bhav when you need him....

Bit of a mess really.
in the middle on this since BCCI needs changing and revamping but the Supreme court are going over the top and some of the recommendations are unnecessary and pointless.
not really sure what the supreme court are trying to achieve.
don't like the way Supreme court handling the matter either.

Personally don't think Supreme court will change anything and all the people saying it is a good thing outside india probably don't know what going to happen because with the way the lodha committee are acting some new dictator will be in charge of the BCCI and ICC will still be toothless.

if anything I be worried considering for all the flaws of BCCI they are still by far the best sporting body in india and a lot of the recommendation are not good for the game and with the way the supreme court/lodha people are acting I would be worried if they are running the game in india considering they really don't know what they doing.

hopefully who ever runs BCCI still looks after the grassroots game because that what really matter and which is why I prefer the old bcci and not the supreme court one.
if Cricket starts being run by the public/goverment/courts in india then Cricket very likely to be dead considering none of the public sporting bodies are that great and they all got issues with grass root levels and funding.

Awesome innings by Aussie opener David Warner who scored a century before lunch today at Sydney. Pakistan looked like dead men in the session and Warner blew their bowling to bits.

Warner is one of only 5 batsmen who have done this in the first session and the 4th australian.

Thanks Bhav

Doesn't sound promising

Can't say I like the guy but it was a fantastic innings by Warner. Renshaw then made an unbeaten 167 to leave Australia well in charge.

No I agree I think Warner is a twit but his batting today was something else. They couldnt hide from him and I loved seeing that team being soundly thrashed. If the weather stays away I can see the same scenario as in the previous game.

Hope AB de V is nearing fitness and form as going into the series in England with JP Duminy at 4 is a deathwish. He's a lower order, flat track bully who plays nice shots and bowls pies.
I know there's a quota which may be a problem, as right now the batsmen who are struggling are Bavuma and Duminy. Amla is just out of form but he'll be back. I also think de Kock bats one place too low in the order despite his great recent record. Love watching him bat.

I was expecting a bit more from Herath. Newlands is a great wicket and a fair one for spin bowlers. (and look at that sky!)

More problems for South Africa's selectors

Kyle Abbott's international career has effectively been ended following the second Test against Sri Lanka after talks with Cricket South Africa failed to dissuade him from accepting a Kolpak deal with Hampshire.

ESPNcricinfo broke the news of Abbott's signing on Tuesday, of which CSA had no knowledge. The board has spent the last two days in meetings with Abbott's agent, Weber van Wyk, but they were unable to come to any arrangement that will convince Abbott to stay in South Africa, and his contract has been terminated with immediate effect. It was also confirmed that batsman Rilee Rossouw will be joining Abbott at Hampshire , also on a Kolpak deal.
