Just found out the second series of this police drama starring Nicola Walker starts on Thursday night 9pm. It's going to be a separate storyline from the one in the first series.

Thanks for the reminder, I also have very high expectations!
I think it will be hard to top series one, but the acting skills of the two leads might make it!

I remember this show and the lead actors playing it ... but I can't remember the show / storyline itself. I can't remember if I enjoyed it or not.

good

I really hate this new fangled idea of making the second set in a detective series link from the first.

Not against the principle, it's just that all the attempts to do it have not resulted in stellar storylines IMHO.

Really loved this program BTW glad to see it back

I recorded series one and total forgot about it. About two weeks ago I was scrolling through the planner and on the very last page I found it. I started watching it and watched all six episodes in about 2 days. I was hooked.
Let's hope series two is just as good.

I know what you mean. Series two of Broadchurch springs to mind, that was a complete let down and I'm not sure I'll bother with series three. However I'm looking forward to Unforgotten and I hope this second series is as good as the first (if not better).

Isn't this just New Tricks with a different cast?

I really enjoyed Unforgotten in 2015 (?!), I ended up binge watching it over about two days. I hope series 2 continues to be as good as the first series, glad they are doing a new storyline.

...and Nicola Walker isn't competing with her dead self on BBC1 at the same time on this occasion. (River, for those who have forgotten.)

Gawd, am I the only one who gets a bit tired and a bit confused about which Nicola Walker character I am watching now?
Christ, give someone else a bloody go!

Would someone really walk over to a man like that in a supermarket and say "I hope you both die of f***ing aids and the kid too"

never heard of seen this before so giving it a whirl.

all seems fairly standard cop/murder investigation type programme - all been rather watchable and beleivable so far!

Sadly there are enough nasty gits out there who do just that . Why anyone would go to the bother of abusing a complete stranger who wasn't possibly doing them any harm I cannot explain.
