Neighbours back a week today - but......will we get new opening credits??

Which scenario do u reckon?

Complete new overhaul and look/feel

Exactly the same - no change

Partially same - with a couple of tweaks/additions

What do u think??

Yes we are getting new credits. Apparently they are awful.

I hope they don't continue putting a scene before the credits like they have been.

It's really off putting and half the time I am watching on record and end up fast-forwarding past the credits to get to the episode only to remember there is actually a new scene before them.

Two regularly reliable sources on NeighboursFans (see spoiler section, 'Titles/ Credits Updates') have revealed that they've regressed to back to green-screened shots of the cast, turning to the camera and smiling. All complimented by artificial lens flares and red balloons apparantely... So, the 2006 titles: Mark 2.

Naturally, they're going to be terrible.

I was all for the titles changing. For, as much as I appreciate the effort to film on real locations over the past 6 years, the shots have never looked sincere or natural enough for me to really like them. They've just been 'meh'. I really dislike the guardians of the street shot given to Karl and Susan at the end of the current titles. It's obviously supposed to be poignant, but it's just sooooo meta. Karl and Susan are generally fun characters, have them doing something fun!

The 2003 set was the last sequence to get it spot on. Natural, humble, beautifully shot, with a laid back feel.

The Hollyoaks titles are better. Neighbours' titles seem cringy.

Be wary. My Sky series link did not pick up the coming episode.

A new set of opening titles wasnt needed, the titles were fine before. Why did they have to change it. Lets just hope that Neighbours significantly improves its casting this year.

If the titles are changing, I wonder if the music is changing as well as the logo!?

Do they have somewhere to live yet? Can't they at least get the penthouse?

Suggestions I've seen and heard is a music update, the style of the opening credits changed as advised in this thread but also filmed differently and tanaka brothers added so are regulars now and titles do follow the previously not the cold scene as per 2016
