Brian Widlake, former World at One and PM presenter, has died
Also worked at LBC and presented The Money Programme on TV. Just announced on Radio 4.
Must be breaking news as his Wikipedia entry hasn't been updated yet. |

Seconded Mark. A news presenter who oozed gravitas, precisely because he wasn't cultivating and grooming his own ego.
I can think of a few nowadays who could learn a bit from him about the real meaning of radio current affairs programmes. |
