I'm sure DTC has said exactly that before. He envisaged Ronine as the girl who never quite "makes it". She always just gets that glimpse of happiness before it's snatched away from her

That's why it annoyed me when they tried to turn her into a dark villain (aka Archie's Apprentice) a couple of years ago.

If Ronnie's still alive, she'll look like a prune by the time they dry her off.

A twist couldn't ruin last night's ending any further than last night's ending ruined last night's ending.

It would be unrealistic for Ronnie and Roxy to suddenly be alive.

I think Ronnie will be resuscitated and will be alive at least for a day or two

Killing not one but two mums of young kids is cold even by EE standards. I think one is still alive.

As much as many would love a twist, I do think the end seemed pretty final. Even the episode synopsis on the main site says about both sisters being dead.

I've got this nagging feeling that it all seems to be a little obvious at the moment...something's gonna happen that no-one sees coming.

Could Ronnie (Or Roxy for that matter) still be alive??”

Only Dallas have been brave enough to carry out the DREAM!

I think it would have been better to have given Ronnie a ten year stretch for murder than to kill her off.

The episodes are filmed about two months in advance. How come there is nothing at all leaked about the two funerals ? Is it because, there is actually only "one" funeral ?

I do keep thinking back to the tweet Sam posted when the Sun leaked the story, something like you think you know what happens but you don't. On the other hand they are surely dead.

Ronnie "died" in hospital that other time before her heart started beating again. Maybe they are "dead" but someone (Jack obviously) jumps in and saves one and resuscitates them. What seems to us like a long time in the water may have just been a matter of minutes.

I think Ronnie is dead.

Remember at the start, Glenda gave her advice, and she said "the day I take your advice will be my last day".

Then after the wedding, she told Glenda that she did, after all, take her advice, and Glenda was happy.

= her last day.

I actually do remember that tweet. They had revealed about the deaths by then. Surly they wouldn't mean the change of death to indoors. That wouldn't really be worth tweeting over.

The deaths were'nt shocking as everyone already "knew" they were going to die. What would be shocking is for one to be alive. Now thats a twist.

Or they could linger on as ghosts. Soaps don't have ghost characters but I can see EE being the first to do so.

They were only the water for two or three minutes. The clock was a few minutes to 12 when Roxy jumped in, meaning Ronnie may only be in there for 2 or 3 minutes tops before attempts are made to revive her.

One is alive. Mark my words.

I think Roxy is alive and will be revived, then after recovering in hospital from her overdose etc she will leave the square because of the guilt over the fact that Ronnie died trying to save her.

I know I sound completely ridiculous, and I'm probably wrong, but freedom of speech, eh?

Not possible, as Roxy was underwater longer. She's definitely gone.

I can't see how Roxy could possibly survive. These are the timings:

Roxy jumps in at 11:53 (according to the big clock)
Ronnie notices Roxy at 11:55 (according to the big clock)
Ronnie jumps in the pool at 11:56 (according to Max's clock)
Ronnie stops moving at 11:58 (according to Jack's clock)
They are both still underwater at midnight (according to the big clock)

This means that Roxy will have been under for at least 10 minutes before anyone tries to save her. Ronnie would have been unconscious for 4 minutes before anyone can realistically perform CPR.

Chances are they're both dead but there is the slimiest of chances that Ronnie could survive but sadly, it's extremely unlikely!

Well tonight's episode made it clear both are dead.

So looks like they're both brown bread then

Barring the most outlandish of twists when Jack goes to identify the bodies...safe to say they are indeed dead.

Glad in a way as would've ruined the ending, I think, having seen the reactions in today's episode of everyone.

Will it come back in time to haunt Eastenders? Only time will tell I guess!
