I've noticed some of the pushed premieres have increased massively in size. For example The Great Escape, taking 19.12Gb. I haven't got SkyQ, are the bigger sizes because these films are being shown in UHD on SkyQ? The picture quality has massively improved since the launch of Sky Cinema.

Are you noting the file size prior to initiating the download? It changes to a smaller size once the asset begins downloading.

On my Sky Q box The Great Escape shows as 15.4GB for HD, (it's not available in UHD) however once you start the download the file size changes to 5.3GB.

Recorded from Greats in The Sky Cinema section. Had already been downloaded to my 2TB box by Sky. Once moved to my planner, it is using 1.3% programme size 19.2GB.

Could the 19 GB file be for the UHD or 4K copy?

The OP said he's got SKY+HD, not Sky Q, so I don't think it's that.

I have noticed larger file sizes on some of the pushed movies by Sky. For example Big under Greats, is showing as 9.89GB available until the Thursday the 5th. Once it expires from push and can only be downloaded, the file size will be much smaller. I don't know if this means an increase in picture and surround sound quality on the pushed movies?

Nope for 2 reasons 1) the op has a Sky+HD box and 2) it's not available in UHD/4K.
