I already have a smart TV (Panasonic), Sky+ and Apple TV but none of these can access Amazon Prime instant video or All4 on demand (e.g. all those Walter Presents box sets).

Is there a cheap device that plugs into the TV and enables those particular services? Looked at the Amazon Fire gadgets but they don't appear in All4's list of devices.

I have the Amazon Fire TV and obviously has Prime but also has All 4 and the new interface and yes Walter Presents is there too. I would imagine the cheaper firestick also has All 4. If you have very good wi-fi then the stick may be fine but I find the box better because it is directly connected to my router and I use the Fire Tv for my personal media streaming with Kodi and Plex.

As I and others have pointed out it is long overdue that companies sorted this situation out and had all of the streaming services available on all popular platforms as Netflix do. Surely millions want to subscribe to their service as easily as they can and not be forced to buy another box or stick.

Thanks. That's interesting. I couldn't find any reference to the Fire TV on All4's site or All4 on the Fire TV page.

Edited - I just found a number of references to All4 being added to Amazon Fire TV on various third party sites. So it looks like it's a good option.

Not doubting you for one minute but can you point me to anything online that confirms this so I have some redress if it doesn't work?
I can only confirm that All 4 is there and Walter presents along with all the other popular 4 channels and box sets are definitely there on my Amazon Fire TV as I have scrolled througfh the menu for you. However maybe others can also confirm this for you if you want to be 100% sure.

I cannot point to anything being advertised as such because that is one of the most frustrating things I find. Log on to the Now TV site and you won't find which box sets are available, it is poor but unfortunately that is how things seem to work these days.

Sorry didn't see your last sentence.

If you want an unbiased opinion of the Amazon Fire TV box then I think I could be counted on as I am not their biggest fan as a company and I use the streaming service only a couple of times a year. The Fire TV box however is extremely good, very fast and you can add apps such Mr Mc the forked version of Kodi without all the add ons which many use for copyright infringed streams. I use this with a WD cloud attached where I can play all of my persoanl media, photos, music, films etc without the need to have a server running separately on another computer or media centre. It also saves me sharing my broadband with another set of devices. The downside as per my original post that if you want Now TV then that isn't available which is frustrating. Yes Sky are a competitor but hey Netflix doesn't seem to be a problem for virtually every other platform provider.

Thanks for your help. I found several articles about All4 being added to Fire TV after I'd posted my reply and they seem to be from reputable sources e.g. https://recombu.com/digital/article/...all-4-fire-tv#
